GLITZ AND GLAMOUR AT THE STARHILL GALLERY FASHION WEEK SPRING/ SUMMER 2016

Everyone knows that if you want high fashion, designer labels and exclusive classy clothing, there is no better place to go then to the Starhill Gallery, located right in the heart of the Golden Triangle / Bukit Bintang..., Starhill Gallery is after all Kuala Lumpur's ultimate statement of taste and style in food, fashion, living, beauty and art.... and so yours truly was truly delighted to be able to take a peek at the Starhill Gallery Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 launch...

And pssst... do you know that Starhill Gallery is listed as Asia's Most Beautiful Mall by The Forbes Traveller??!!

It was truly a magnificent launch with Starhill Gallery's exclusive VIP guests, celebrities and all sipping on G.H Mumm Champagne and Absolut Hibiskus cocktails.. (not me though... coz I am a good girl and a Muslim....) lol....

I, on the other hand took the opportunity to indulge myself in some manicure sponsored by BMIC Nail Spa Salon, some absolutely to die for chocolates by Armani Dolci, heavenly ice cold treats from Inside Scoop and sipped on healthy cold pressed fruit/ vegetable juices from LaJuicerie.. afterall, isn't Healthy the new Sexy... (forget the ice cream and chocolate I mentioned before this... hahaha...)

The opening show was a gorgeous salsa (or was that flamenco?) dance by three lovely ladies in very red hot dresses....they definitely raised some temperatures in there.....even though it was already pretty hot in Malaysia... hahahah

Our host for the night was the very dapper looking Will Quah, who took us on a lovely journey through the latest fashion and designs.....

The 2016 Spring /Summer collections unveiled here were from Starhill Gallery's exclusive designer labels; Valentino, McQ Alexander McQueen, M Missoni, Kenzo, Debenhams, Mita Tam Style Studio,  iKarrtini and Khoon Hooi.....

These big names in the fashion industry took to the catwalk and definitely captivated the invited guests with a variety of stylish and breathtaking garments, contemporary trends and the most up to date accessories...

A new stage of a very personal narrative journey was predominant in Valentino's latest collection which created emotions and spirituality, sensuality and human touch....

Short and sharp or long and fluid, the McQ Alexander McQueen collection was all about creating versatility...

M Missoni collection refers to a unique world of the circus with playful upbeat designs, inspiring smiles and dreams, with a sense of humour to the forefront....

Kenzo's collection follows the global traveller with an unexpected mix of elements....

Debenhams showcased their latest designer collections in tones of green, yellow and white.. for those who loved British designs....

iKarrtini mesmerized us with encapsulating what is truly Malaysia by marrying traditional designs with contemporary.. and the result is truly amazingly desirable..

Khoon Hooi's collection for this season was inspired by a life painting of a meadow on black canvas, and tells of an abstract take on freedom and light....

There was also a lovely light patterns and colourful floral dresses for both casual and formal occasions by Mita Tam Style Studio...

Some of the glamourous fashionistas spotted in attendance included celebrities and actresses Diana Danielle, Marsha Milan Londoh, Sazzy Falak, Linora Low, Hunny Madu, Carey Ng, actor Keith Foo  and Kim Raymond...

The event was elevated with a special fashion showcase by Monique Collignon, a Dutch (Haute) Couture brand from Amsterdam featuring 36 gorgeous pieces from her latest Spring/ Summer collection

But what make her collection super unique is that her collection are created from high quality fabrics made from  recycled plastic bottles by Waste2Wear.

We also got to enjoy the Monique Collignon Couture Light 2016: The Conscious Collection  exhibition featuring pieces designed for international celebrities which include Giuliana Rancic, Carly Steel, Celinde Schoenmaker, Becky Baeling-Lythgo and Carice  van Houten....

The Starhill Gallery Fashion Week Spring /Summer 2016 is ongoing until 9th April 2016, so catch it if you are able to....

The event cements Starhill Gallery's status as Malaysia's luxury shopping destination with its exclusive boutiques, international designer collections and fashionable society events. 11. I didn't know that Starhill got that Asia most beautiful mall title. It is indeed pretty. Btw, some on the fashion is a bit too vavavoom for me but there are a few that's sooooo beautiful!

  12. It's the perfect place for a reception -- before or after the event, with plenty of space for people to move around. The wedding venues NYC were large with room for plenty of tables. There is a stage to the right side of the room, where your presenters can be seen or the bride and groom can take their vows.
