Misi Bantuan Kemanusian Susur Pulau 2022

AEON's Crowdsourced #ClassicMalaysianMoments and Commemorates Definitive Malaysian Memories into NFTs

For this year’s Merdeka, AEON Malaysia hosted a crowdsourcing platform to welcome Malaysians’ submissions of what they deem would be their take of classic Malaysian moments that made Malaysians unique. These submissions were then voted on through social media to earn a chance to have them immortalised as digital assets, as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as a part of AEON’s appreciation for Malaysians’ public spirit and togetherness …

Out of a whopping 500+ submissions for the #ClassicMalaysianMoments, ten (10) were selected and announced at AEON Taman Maluri, with the top (5) winners walking away with RM1,500 in AEON vouchers and five (5) consolation winners receiving RM500 in AEON vouchers.

The winning designs were also transformed into NFTs that AEON customers may redeem* as keepsakes in the digital world.

From August 15 to August 29, the public were encouraged to upload original visuals (photographs/digital art/traditional art) on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram with the hashtags #AEONxMerdeka65 #ClassicMalaysianMoments as well as #IniKonfemMalaysia with each submission including any of their favourite Malaysian brands and how the brand has influenced how Malaysians have lived over the previous 65 years.

The results were breathtaking with the Malaysians taking great pleasure to participate in highlighting Malaysian moments as a way of life as part of their everyday routine….

Alongside AEON, other brands that were mentioned in most #ClassicMalaysianMoments include Milo, Hup Seng, 100 plus, Maggi, Nescafe, Gardenia, Kellogg’s, Munchy’s, F&N, Naturel and Cap Kipas Udang.

AEON also partnered with Meta Universe (MU), a native enterprise solutions supplier for all things NFT and metaverse, who provided seamless direction and support in its voyage into the current digital trend through the #ClassicMalaysianMoments contest.

AEON’s Chief Merchandise and Marketing Officer Low Ngai Yuen said, "We are thrilled to do this together with our customers as these NFTs are their priceless experiences on what makes Malaysians unique. We will cherish being able to continuously work alongside with our customers and have them share with us their views and thoughts – this is invaluable. In return, we hope to share these digital assets with many more as our way to thank everyone."

THE GOLDEN TICKET CAMPAIGN RETURNS TO SURIA KLCC WITH A TOTAL OF RM500,000 IN REWARDS FOR THE TAKING

From now until 18 September 2022, two RM5,000 shopping vouchers are up for grabs every day during The Golden Ticket campaign at Suria KLCC.

The campaign is back for the third year after two successful runs in 2020 and 2021.

Shoppers who spend RM500 and above in two receipts at any specialty stores stand a chance to win a lucky Golden Ticket (worth RM5,000).

This ticket is found in one of the 100 mystery boxes showcased at the Centre Court. The best thing about this draw is even if shoppers do not win the Golden Ticket, they are still rewarded with a Purple Ticket (worth RM50) found in the remaining boxes!

Winners of The Golden Ticket get to celebrate with a photo opportunity at The Wall of Winners. They will also get their share of fame by being featured on a rotating screen in the Centre Court.

Every day, there are two lucky draw sessions — the first is from 10 am to 2 pm and the second is from 5 pm to 9 pm — with each session adding 100 new tickets for shoppers to snag. In addition, any remaining tickets that were not drawn will snowball to the next day.

Each shopper is limited to one draw per day. The draw must also be made on the same day of receipt purchase.

Days leading up to the campaign, Suria KLCC mobile trucks have been bringing the ‘Golden Ticket on the Move’ to people around KL City and Ampang, giving them a sneak peek at what’s to come. The mystery boxes in this mini draw contained Purple Tickets worth RM10 and Golden Tickets worth RM50.

“Following the success of The Golden Ticket campaign in previous years, we take great pleasure in bringing back the joy and excitement of these lucky draws to our loyal customers. This campaign is much loved for its terrific rewards where everyone is guaranteed to walk away a winner!

“With the pandemic easing, we also hope our efforts will greatly benefit our tenants and spur further commercial growth as we enter the last quarter of 2022,” said Andrew Brien, CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd.
