When you Reach Johor

Johor is one of the most sought after tourist destinations for any Singaporean being at such close proximity from Singapore. If you don’t want to spend your entire day trip at the JBCC Mall or the City Square Mall, you can opt for visiting one or more of the following popular tourist spots in Johor:

The Istana Besar- If you are interested in architecture or visiting historical sites, the Istana Besar is the ideal place to visit. It was constructed under the watchful eyes of the late Sultan Abu Bakar in 1866 as part of the Johor Sultanate Grand Palace. The most exclusive feature of the Istana Besar is that it is based on the Anglo-Malay architecture which is portrayed on the dome with Malay design in contrast with Anglo-influenced blue roof. Although, this historical monument is still standing strong, yet it is used specifically for only state functions. However, you can add a few photos of the Besar to fill up your vacation album.
