Mission for healthier Bentos....

I have to admit there are times when I feel more  motivated and inspired to create one of those pretty Bentos... but as artistic as my mother or children think I am, I am not THAT talented..... rather just about mediocre...and ideas do not actually come that easy...

So yours truly was quite stoked when Mission Foods organised a little Bento event with consultant dietitian Indra Balaratnam and two gorgeous celebrity moms, Aishah Sinclair and Sazzy Falak who then shared with us their pretty inspiring and inventive ideas for creating quick and healthy Bentos for their little ones using Mission Foods products such as wraps, pita, naan and chips...

Everyone have their own way of creating pretty Bento boxes, and it is the painstaking artistry and love put into it that differentiates Bento boxes to just normal packed lunch boxes..

After all, there is nothing more delightful for children who enjoy eating their food in tiny, pretty portions and it is also a great way to introduce healthy food for them...and cutting off junk food...

We got to watch Indra create her Chicken and Cheese Quesadillas using Mission 6-Grain Wraps, cleverly shaped into dinosaurs grazing in a flower garden made from salad leaves and pretty edible flowers...

At the side of the garden was a Dinosaur Nest made from Mission Tortilla Chips, mixed nuts and a hard boiled egg with dots using a beetroot juice...

Indra likes to include the five food groups such as grain, protein, dairy, nuts, vegetables and fruits to ensure that her daughter Skyler's meal is properly balanced....

The bubbly radio announcer, TV host and fitness enthusiast Aishah Sinclair, on the other hand decided to create a delicious Tandoori Chicken Pizza with Mission Wholemeal Pizza Crust in the form of flowers for her two daughters, Soraya Ann and Aina Elisabeth...

Then for the gorgeous and fashionable TV anchor, fashionpreneur and fitness instructor Sazzy Falak, she chooses to create a snazzy bed of Mission Original Tortilla Chips nachos topped with crushed avocadoes and melted cheese, served with fresh salsa...

.... there is a even a teddy bear shaped hard boiled egg on the side and fruits with adorable animal picks... all for Tiara Rose and Iman Lily to enjoy... Sazzy makes it a point to bring in 5 colours for a variety of flavours, textures and nutrients....

There are just so many things you can create from these products...and I love how healthy Mission Foods products are...
