International talent and event agency Beam Artistes proudly presented the inaugural edition of Masters of the World (MOTW) in an intimate sashing ceremony and press conference held this evening at Ombak Kitchen, Setapak.
The extraordinary Masters of the World is a one-of-a-kind male platform that celebrates not only physical strength, but also emotional resilience and the power of self-mastery.
In his heartfelt opening address, Samuel Seow, Founder & CEO of Beam Artistes and MOTW, shared that Masters of the World is not just a pageant, but a movement — one that redefines what it truly means to be a man and to master oneself.
“Life has a way of humbling us. I’ve had my share of triumphs — and also storms that tested my strength, dignity, and faith in people,” Seow expressed.
“There were moments I questioned everything — my choices, my path, even my purpose. But every scar, every setback, every tear became a teacher. Through those lessons, I realised that to master the world, we must first learn to master ourselves.”
Seow continued, “Men — whether in their twenties or sixties — go through seasons that shape them. We fall in love, we fall apart, we succeed, we fail. We fight to provide, to be seen, to be enough. But the true victory doesn’t lie in trophies or titles — it lies in mastering our mind, our temper, our relationships, our work — and above all, our hearts.”
Masters of the World aims to inspire men from all walks of life to rise above their pasts, to lead with compassion, to rebuild when broken, and to shine — not only for themselves but for those who look up to them: their sons, daughters, and communities.
This empowering platform invites men of all ages to stand tall and declare,
“This is who I am. I’ve lived, I’ve lost, I’ve learned — and I’m still standing.”
During the ceremony, sixteen delegates from twelve countries across Asia, Europe, and Africa were officially introduced to the media and guests.
Representing nations including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar, Taiwan, South Africa, Greece, and Croatia, these remarkable gentlemen will undergo a series of challenges throughout pageant week — which began on 14 October 2025 — leading up to the Grand Finals on 20 October 2025, to be held at the prestigious Starlight Arena @ Plaza 51, Petaling Jaya.
The competition is divided into two categories — MASTERS and ELITE — showcasing that age is not a limitation, but an honour. Every wrinkle tells a story; every experience adds depth; every challenge conquered reflects that mastery is a lifelong pursuit.
The oldest delegate, aged 71, is Yu Cheng Chao, a professor and business entrepreneur from Taiwan who also enjoys singing.
Seow emphasised, “When a man learns to master himself, he becomes a force for good. And when enough men do that together — we truly can master the world.”
“Let this pageant be more than a competition. Let it be a message to the world — that mastery is not about power or perfection, but about peace, purpose, and perseverance.”
