Based on a survey conducted by Taiwan Tourism in 2012, the top attractions for inbound tourists are sights and sceneries, food and shopping. As such, the Taiwan Travel Fair will also highlight three major experiences under the theme of “Time to Enjoy Life”:

Time to Eat

When it comes to food, Taiwan has it all. Dine like royalty without paying a king’s ransom for it. From juicy seasonal fruits, sumptuous traditional Chinese dishes, healthy vegetarian dishes, icy desserts to creative tea drinks, Taiwanese cuisine makes full use of local ingredients and age-old techniques to surprise and satisfy your palate. Don’t forget the world-famous night markets, filled with the enticing aromas of delicious street food and snacks!

Time to Shop

Taiwan is a shopaholic’s dream come true, with many large shopping centres and chain department stores in all four corners of the island. Shop for anything you want, from high-quality made-in-Taiwan 3C products, to famous highland tea and handmade weavings. For the fashion lover, all kinds of affordable clothing, leather goods and branded products are at your fingertips. In Taiwan, you are sure to find just about everything you want.

Time to go on Two Wheels

These days, the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) trend is gaining popularity as people begin to be more health and eco-conscious. Taiwan is well-known for its LOHAS practices, and there is no better way to experience it than to travel along the breath-taking coastal highways by bicycle! Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and appreciate the simple yet wonderful things in life with your loved ones.

A Carnival of Excitement in Sunway Lagoon!

Early on Sunday morning, my little girl and I were at Sunway Lagoon to experience and witness Sunway Lagoon's first ever Walk & Hunt in the Wild that saw over 500 people from all walks of life who participated in an energetic morning walk around Sunway Lagoon. It was then followed by an exciting wildlife themed treasure hunt consisting of team members between 4-6 people.

Held for the first time in Malaysia, the event aims to educate the public about wildlife as well as promote togetherness among family and friends as they work together to solve the puzzles and challenges that they were given.

The event started with a vigorous Zumba- like work out that got all the participants moving and grooving as part of the warm up session

Participants were definitely surprised when halfway into the warm up dance session, they were joined by a few iconic mascots including Sunway Lagoon's Captain and Lady Quack, Sunway Pyramid's Leo and Leona, Sunway University's Samson the Bear, Chi Chi and Cha Cha as well as Milo's Mascot.

It definitely was cute watching them all dance along....

And my little girl had a whale of a time taking pictures with the adorable mascots...

Then we continued the warm up exercise session...

Here in the picture are blogger pals Elana and also kak Ella

Love the look of this cute family.. they all wear the same shoes!!!

And there goes Harris and Sweet exercising as well in front of Chi Chi and Cha Cha, in case you do not yet know, Harris and Sweet are the hosts for Chi Chi and Cha Cha....

Then a photo opportunity just before the blast off......

....3,2,1 .... let's go....

Everyone starts their walk led by the hosts of Malaysia's leading children't edutainment show, Chi Chi and Cha Cha, seen on Astro Ceria, Harris and Sweet....

Our walk take us pass the Amusement park and Scream park into the Wildlife Park..

We made some stops along the way to see the adorable inhabitants there...

In case you have not yet been here, the Wildlife Park at Sunway Lagoon is an interactive and educational zoo featuring exotic, small and friendly animals from a range of birds, reptiles and mammals. The interactive concept behind the zoo encourages guests to not only see and learn about the animals but to get up close and personal by touching them.

This first and only fully interactive animal-themed attraction in Malaysia houses more then 150 species of every possible exotic and tame animal in the world. The collection includes Civet Cat, Cockatoo, Cottontop Tamarin, Eagle, Fennec Fox,  Gibbon, Hornbil, Macaque, Macaw, Mandrill, Ostrich, Otter, Sugar Glider, Prairie Dog, Pythons, Spotted Dear, Sun Bear, Panthers, and many other animals.

Making up the lush green space are unique attractions and learning areas such as the Pet Village where kids can touch and feed the animals there, the Jungle Trail, Aviary, Tropical Enclosure, Tree Top Terrace, Bird Savannah , Nature's Walk, Rimba Nature Class and others....

Mr Sean Choo, the General Manager of Sunway Lagoon says that they at Sunway Lagoon are excited to be the first to host such and event with two unique activities that promote the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and unity among Malaysian family and friends...

The fun never stops at Sunway Lagoon and it was great fun for everyone who was there to be able to also gain additional knowledge through the activity and the animals, especially at the newly refurbished Wildlife Park.

Here is my daughter at the pet village where she got to touch and feed the animals there... She had an amazing time there...

You can even try your hands on "longkang" fishing there.....

Following from the eventful morning, Sunway Lagoon also entertained all participants with an interesting African Tribal Dance by the Sunway Lagoon entertainment troupe...

...leaving many people in awe with the fire breathing skills....

Then it was time to announce the winners of the treasure hunt....who walked away with hotel stays at the Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa, Lost World Hotel, tickets to Sunway Lagoon, tickets to Lost World of Tambun and also dining vouchers from Sakae Sushi... worth more then RM14,000 in total.

Then it was time to announce the winner of Sunway Lagoon's contest "Name the King and Queen of the Jungle @ Sunway Lagoon". Jonny Wong Kwei Ji, aged 36, all the way from Sarawak won the contest by naming the theme park's new pair of white lions Zola (male) and Zuri (female), which simply meant love and beautiful- both of which royalties should have, and won himself a Samsung Galaxy Note 4!!!!

Meet Zola, the handsome new king of Sunway Wildlife Park....

Adding on to the excitement, Sunway Lagoon has also re-launched its Wildlife Park with Puan Noorul Ashikin Binti Mohd Din, General Manager of Tourism Selangor, who was present at the event.

My daughter and me, along with other members of the media were blessed to be able to get a very close look at the beautiful white lions .
