My daughter turned 9 recently and requested for a Monster High party saying that she loves them…and I had a tight budget and also not too much resources to get the items as we can only find stationery and also dolls and t shirts etc here in Malaysia.
Here is what I did.. on that day, my daughter wore a t shirt wore a Cleo de Nile on it~ could not find any costumes here…and her friends wore theme colours pink, purple, black and white..

Balloons in the theme colour of black, white, pink and purple
The ready door gifts. I just print the labels on my computer and stick them on transparent plastic cups or zip lock bags
The wall deco.. streamers in theme colour and black boards with monster high characters…the black spot is for notes to the birthday girl…
Guests are encouraged to wear the theme colours and bring their dolls along if any..
We couldn’t dress as monsters as there are no stores yet here in Malaysia selling those costumes…
