So yours truly was over at SOGO Malaysia being one of the lucky invited media where it hosted its annual Chinese New Year celebration...
SOGO Malaysia management and executive team, invited guests and members of the media and passerbys were entertained by the 24 season drums which were presented and performed by talented and enthusiastic young male and female drummers...
This was followed by a lion dance performance of one silver and one gold lion from the award winning Selangor Hong Teck Dragon and Lion Dance Association...
The lion dance performance definitely awed everyone with their acrobatic skills as they leapt from pole to pole and descended from the poles in a flourish that took most of the onlookers breath away...
The silver and gold lions then ended their performance by presenting a plate of prosperity symbolised by two heads of lettuce, a pomelo and six oranges to Sogo top management...
...followed by the letting off of fire crackers....

Inside the department store, a pair of orange lion dance performance entertained shoppers and diners who were on the 6th floor of the mall, along with the “God of Prosperity” mascot....
This was then followed by another round of fire crackers before the management team, invited guests and members of the media adjourned to the Siang Seafood Restaurant for a sumptous Chinese New Year luncheon...
