Malakoff Amazing Hunt 2023

Was blessed to be one of the Media team to join in the Malakoff Amazing Hunt 2023 which included Staff and Stakeholders of Malakoff Corporation Berhad and Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malakoff Group… 

There were approximately 100 participants (25 teams of 4)

The Malakoff Amazing Hunt 2023 is a car hunt challenge, beginning from KL Sentral (Malakoff’s HQ Office – flag off) and finishing at Putrajaya (prize giving ceremony) where all participants were given treasure hunt questions for three checkpoint and recycling tasks at Fasiliti Informasi & Kitar Semula (FIKS)…

The event was to create awareness amongst the media/stakeholders/staff on Malakoff’s rebranding exercise in 2023, which covers Malakoff’s new brand identity, business pillars, and its strategic business direction towards circular economy and greener future as well as to foster and sustain good relationships with the participants through a non-formal, thrilling, and informative programme…  

Malakoff Berhad (“MB”) was established in the early 1970s as a plantation-based business when the agricultural sector was at its peak. The Company was incorporated on 9 October 1975 and listed on Bursa Malaysia in 1976. In October 1993, a shift in the Group’s corporate direction led to the disposal of its plantation-based assets, followed by a venture into the power sector driven by the country’s surging electricity demand. 

MB was presented with a golden opportunity when MMC Corporation Berhad (“MMC”) offered to acquire all of its assets as part of MMC’s transformation strategy to become a premier utilities and infrastructure player. The acquisition was completed on 30 April 2007 and subsequently, MB was officially delisted from the Main Market of Bursa Securities on 18 July 2007. This led to the formation of Malakoff Corporation Berhad on 25 April 2007. On 15 May 2015, Malakoff was relisted on Bursa Malaysia.

Malakoff has three new business pillars which are:-

Malakoff Green Solutions - focusing on providing green energy solutions through sustainable best practices such as solar, small hydro, biogas, biomass and carbon- free mobility infrastructure.

Malakoff Environmental Solutions - focusing on environmental management and solutions that are dedicated to serving communities and the planet such as solid waste management & public cleansing, infrastructure cleaning & waste solutions, integrated facility management, recycling, marine and hazardous waste solutions), water desalination and waste-to-energy.

  

Malakoff Energy – focusing on providing energy management solutions at our existing thermal power generation assets (both domestic and international), Operations & Maintenance (in-house and external clients), electricity distribution and district cooling system

We certainly had plenty of fun and created new memories…
