Food Review 2020 - Breakfast at BBQ Lamb KL Kemensah

Yours truly was over at the BBQ Lamb KL Kemensah early in the morning at about 8.45am on a Sunday...

This quaint little eatery is about 2km from the national zoo, easily accessible by car or motorbikes but the road can be a little narrow at some point...

My friends, my daughter and I were there to try out their new breakfast menu...

BBQ Lamb Kemensah has grown from an evening eatery place serving BBQ Lamb, and other meat and seafood platters to serving lunches as well as weekend breakfasts for now...

Why you should visit this place.. It is a perfect getaway from the city, the place is rustic and "kampung" style.. But beautiful and tranquil.. The sound of flowing waters from the river soothes the soul as well...

BBQ Lamb KL Kemensah is eco friendly and most of the tables and stuff are made from recycled items as well and it has a small swimming pool complete with a small waterfall, which is reasonably well maintained...

I always like BBQ Lamb KL Kemensah as it is a really nice place with nice natural ambience... You can enjoy your lunch and dinner in the river, with your feet in the water while eating...

Breakfast is not served in the river though as En. Zainuddin think it is too cold... So we had it at one of the tables near the man made pool..

You can get a pretty generous set of western style breakfast for about RM10 - RM15...

My daughter ordered the set number 4, that came with smoked duck with baked potatoes, hashbrowns and salad...

I ordered the set number 5, that came with two cheese sausages, chicken slices, two slices of garlic bread, two eggs sunny side up (or you can also request your preferred egg stlye preparation - scrambled, poached) and some salad...

The breakfast sets come served with a small bowl of soup of the day - spiced mutton soup, in my case, and a choice of coffee or teh tarik...

The food is simple, reasonably well prepared and delicious and if you ask me, well worth the price...

You can also spend time taking photos around the area before or after your meal, and go swimming in the pool or wading in the river if you so feel like it...

Tips:-
1. It would be best to make reservations at least 1 week in advance if you are planning to go on weekend for lunch or dinner... You can  walk in but it could be crowded at certain time...

2. For those with sensitive sweet blood, bring some insect repellent as there are mosquitoes around.. Afterall, it's a jungle out there... Lol

3. If you are planning to dine in the river, it would make perfect sense to wear shorts and t-shirt, and preferably slippers.. It would not be ideal for bikini as this is a kampung area unless you are below 5 years old...

4. Be sure to bring spare clothes to change if you want to get wet...
