Malaysia’s first Absolute Siam Store, ICONCRAFT and Ecotopia opens at Pavilion Bukit Jalil

So yours truly was over at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, The Icon of Connectivity to attend and check out the grand opening Thailand’s award-winning and leading retail giant Siam Piwat’s international expansion, as they bring three exclusively curated ‘Made in Thailand’ brands Ecotopia, Absolute Siam and ICONCRAFT to the mall’s new Thai Precinct....

These well-loved and popular Thai brands that generate millions of visitors annually are now available to us Malaysians at Pavilion Bukit Jalil covering an 11,000 square feet retail space that encapsulates each individual brand’s personality, Ecotopia, Absolute Siam and ICONCRAFT center around purposeful retail, where each of these unique and creative Thai brands gives local Thai entrepreneurs an opportunity and international platform to showcase the height of Thai creativity and a selection of environmental conscious and 
sustainably sourced products from local Thai artisans within this 3-in-1 open-concept store. 

Present to officiate the Grand Opening was Guest of Honour Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Deputy Head of Mission, Royal Thai Embassy (representing His Excellency Chainarong Keratiyutwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia); alongside VIPs including Ms. Usara Yongpiyakul Chief Executive Officer - Retail 
Business Group, Siam Piwat Co., Ltd.; Mr. Worawan Wanwil, Minister Counsellor, Department of International Trade Promotion, Royal Thai Embassy; Datuk Lee Whay Hoong, Director, Regal Path Sdn Bhd; Dato’ Joyce Yap, CEO of Retail, Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd; Mrs. Parisa Chatnilbandhu, General Manager of Siam Selected Co. Ltd and Mr. James Loke, CEO of Anggun Kenanga Sdn. Bhd.

The launch was followed by a contemporary fashion show highlighting star products from each of the curated brands Ecotopia, Absolute Siam, ICONCRAFT.

The opening of these 3 brands is a significant milestone of partnership between Siam Piwat and Pavilion Group, which reinforces Siam Piwat’s aspiration to bring Thailand statement onto the world stage. 

Ecotopia, Absolute Siam Store, and ICONCRAFT each represents a unique aspect of Thai culture: -

Ecotopia focuses on bringing together an eco-conscious community of like-minded individuals with a belief that "Together, We Co-Create a Better World". In collaboration with 12 eco-creators, Ecotopia delivers a new and friendly eco-centric experience that can be embraced by people from all walks of life. 

Seasun Society, an eco-friendly skincare line, and Magfish, an art and crafts business that uses recycled materials are amongst the brands on offer. 

Absolute Siam Store is focused on Thailand's avant-garde fashion, providing a platform for up-and-coming Thai designers to showcase their creativity and fashion prowess. 

Over 60 fashion, art, tech, and lifestyle brands are represented in this multi-brand concept shop, which offers one-of-a-kind innovative and bold fashion pieces that set new trends in Absolute Siam style. Mahanakon, TA.THA.TA, Coralist, Sue and Anona are among the prominent Thai designers featured, with popular items including Mahanakon’s Durian Run Run graphic t-shirt, Sue’s Printed Wrap Pants and TA.THA.TA’s quirky Jam Bag.

ICONCRAFT showcases Thailand’s unique arts and crafts, with products from over 800 craftsmen, designers, and local communities all over Thailand exhibited, giving artisans the opportunity to enter modern trade. Jewellery, home decor, one-of-a-kind handicrafts, lifestyle artefacts, scents and fragrances are among the myriad of products offered in-store. Some brands featured are Bangkok Baskets that sell 
handmade bags with contemporary designs, and Kitt. Ta. Khon features modern hand-woven furniture pieces. 

As part of Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s commitment to providing an immersive retail experience, Ecotopia, Absolute Siam and ICONCRAFT make up part of a curated Thai Precinct where shoppers can experience Thailand’s rich culture through creative retail concepts. 

And I am also pretty excited as I heard Sukhumvit 38 - a new Thai concept dining experience helmed by Michelin Star Chefs to bring unique gastronomic experiences to shoppers is coming soon as a new addition to the Thai precinct...

I am also excited to share that beside these unique Thai retail offerings, Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s vibrant retail mix includes well-known retail brands as well as international brands that have selected the mall for entry into the Malaysian retail market. Such first-in-Malaysia stores include brands such as LOHAS, TIANYUE TEAJOY, HOHM, DULUKINI, and TSUTAYA BOOKS. I really cannot wait to check these stores out!!!!
