AFTONSPARV is the new space-themed kids’ collection by IKEA that brings the wonders of outer space into the home. From cuddly soft toys to cardboard spaceships and tent rockets, the range aims to spark imagination, creativity, and a sense of adventure among budding astronauts and explorers.

IKEA Malaysia, inspired by its mission to nurture the next generation of space explorers, is collaborating with Dato' Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar for a nationwide tour. The first Malaysian astronaut will visit IKEA stores across the country to share his experience in space exploration with IKEA customers and space enthusiasts alike.

The tour will kick off on 8 November 2023, with an official launch at Level 1 of IPC Shopping Centre in collaboration with IKEA Damansara at 3:30PM. Visitors can also catch a glimpse of Dato’ Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar at IKEA in Cheras, Tebrau and Batu Kawan on the following dates:  


10 November at 3:20PM – IKEA Cheras 

19 November at 3:30PM – IKEA Tebrau

25 November at 3:45PM – IKEA Batu Kawan

This aligns with the IKEA commitment to make its play solutions as sustainable as they are safe and fun. Soft toys in the new space range are made of recycled polyester. Meanwhile, cardboard in the rocket play tent contains at least 70% recycled materials.
