The Lunar New Year is the time for family and friends to reconnect and recreate moments together....
Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur offers an array of sumptuous delicacies at two of its finest restaurants where traditional cuisine meets modern presentation – Celestial Court and Essence.
Unity Lou Sang, Our Signature Yee Sang
Known as the Prosperity Toss, Yee Sang is a Cantonese-style raw fish salad. Said to have originated from Seremban in the 1940s, Loke Chin Fatt was the caterer responsible for the tweaking of the humble fisherman's dish into a cultural, celebratory phenomenon.
A symbol of good luck, prosperity, health and all things auspicious, Celestial Court crafted the Unity Lou Sang, a modern reiteration of the Yee Sang for the most important festival in the Chinese lunar calendar. Named as Unity Lou Sang, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur’s take on the iconic dish features four lavish selections and combines a balanced mix of ingredients, made especially to be shared with your nearest and dearest. For an intimate and hassle-free celebration at home, the Unity Lou Sang is also available for take-away.

Stewed Dried Oyster with Sea Cucumber and Black Moss
One of the must-haves for the season, every ingredient for this dish is symbolic. In it, there are dried oysters (ho see in Cantonese) which means good things to come. Eaten with black moss, the combination of the ingredients is regarded as ho see fat choy, which means good business, a favorite for business owners as it symbolises a successful, prosperous business for the coming year.
Wok-fried Prawns with Angled Luffa Gourd, Shimeji Mushrooms and Cashew Nuts
A huge staple in Chinese New Year meals, its pronunciation in Cantonese (har) echoes the sound of ringing laughter, which is often associated with happiness and joy. The dish features a whole plump wild sea white prawn, symbolizing the completeness of life.
Poached White Pomfret with Shredded Chicken and Mushrooms in Spicy Supreme Stock
Fish is commonly served as it symbolizes "surpluses for the new year" and abundance. A signature dish, it perfectly combines prized ingredients from both land and sea.
