Siti Khadijah, one of Malaysia’s most established and well known Muslimah fashion brand which was the first to come up with gorgeous, innovative and stylish prayer garments since 2009 is a success story spearheaded by the Founder, Puan Fadzilah Enda Sulaiman ….
Puan Fadzilah Enda Sulaiman had identified the need for stylish and comfortable prayer garments and well, with more than 40 boutiques in Malaysia and Indonesia, Siti Khadijah has since blazed their way successfully until now…. And will be taking a new step ahead with a new collaboration….
What makes it special this time around, is that Siti Khadijah has fostered an inaugural collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through Institut Alam dan Tamadun Melayu (ATMA) for their new designs.
This collaboration aims to emulate the collection of Malay traditional pattern as well as raising the society’s awareness and understanding to preserve our forgotten national treasure.
This collaboration is a step in the right direction to preserve the Malay traditional pattern allowing today’s generation to learn more about the historical pattern. It is hoped that this collaboration will set the new bar of excellence via the traditional pattern inspired motives and patterns in the prayer garments while being able to celebrating the diverse culture, especially the glorious culture of Malay civilization of days gone by….
The licensing rights agreement document was officially given in a ceremony that took place at the Anjung Digital Smart Selangor, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi with Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Abdul Wahab Mohammad (Chairman of UKM Technology Sdn Bhd ) and En Mohammad Munzir (Chief Executive Officer of Siti Khadijah Sdn Bhd) present….
The upcoming new collection which will be designed from about 8 Malay traditional patterns from a certain traditional manuscript is estimated to be made available in the market starting from January 2023 and I for one cannot wait to check it out!!!!
