BUSTED ‘GREATEST HITS 2.0’ IS OUT OUT

Everyone’s favourite pop-punk time-travel enthusiasts Busted have released their new album ‘Greatest Hits 2.0’. It sees the trio James BourneCharlie Simpson and Matt Willis - simultaneously rewind the clock and step into their future with a hi-octane, maximum fun collection that reworks all of their classic hits with the help of an A-Z of high-profile collaborators.

Having previously unveiled guest turns stretching from Jonas Brothers to Neck Deep, the album’s new focus track ‘3AM’ is another fresh highlight.

Joined by James Arthur, this version of ‘3AM’ sees Busted upscale the intensity and drama of the original, switching the feel from power ballad to fiery emo-rock. First released in 2004‘3AM’ spent two weeks at #1 as a double A-side with ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’.

Talking of which, the updated ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’ is a dream for fans of early 2000s pop-punk as Busted are joined by their old friends McFly. Other highlights race out of the speakers at every turn, with The Vamps adding their own pop-rock rush to ‘What I Go To School For’, You Me At Six infusing ‘Air Hostess’ with added bite, and Dashboard Confessional heightening the introspective mood of ‘Everything I Knew’. There are also new features from Deaf Havana , Charlotte Sands, Bowling For Soup and Wheatus, plus a whole set of Busted’s solo 2.0 updates.

In an interview with Kerrang! this week, Matt Willis commented, “Going into the studio again, and re-recording the songs as we play them now, that felt really exciting, and something that we really wanted to do. And getting different people to feature on them just sounded really fun, and we wanted to work with all these people and we were stoked they said yes. It’s been a really cool experience.”

Physical formats of ‘Greatest Hits 2.0’ are available HERE, including some value-for-money album bundles.

Busted’s current UK and Ireland arena tour is underway, andwill see them play to a total of 260,000 fans. VISION FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE: ROHTO EYE CARE ‘JOY OF SEEING” CSR CAMPAIGN

Rohto Eye Care, a leading provider of innovative eye care solutions, announced the resounding success of its annual CSR campaign, "The Joy of Seeing."
This campaign has once again made significant strides in fundraising, raising awareness, and positively transforming the lives of underprivileged B40 students.

In collaboration with esteemed partners Pintar Foundation and Focus Point Vision Care Group Sdn Bhd, Rohto Eye Care expanded its outreach to three public schools in the bustling Klang Valley: Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Batu, Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Cheras, and Sekolah Kebangsaan Kiaramas. With a profound impact on over 2,400 students, including 30% from economically disadvantaged B40 families, the campaign has truly made a difference.

By joining forces with Focus Point Vision Care Group, renowned experts in the field, Rohto Eye Care went beyond traditional corporate social responsibility. Their dedicated team conducted engaging and informative educational talks on eye health while providing comprehensive eye health checks at the participating schools. The primary goal was to empower children with knowledge about their eyes, promote healthy eye care practices, and extend support to B40 students who required prescription glasses.

To incite even greater support, Rohto Eye Care partnered with Watsons, a trusted and popular retail chain. Throughout the entire month of May, a portion of the sales from Rohto Eye Care products at Watsons stores nationwide was earmarked for the campaign fund.
This collaborative effort not only bolstered the initiative's impact but also showcased the strength of unity in pursuing a common cause.

Lim Mei Yuen, the esteemed General Manager of Rohto-Mentholatum, highlighted the paramount importance of the campaign and its objectives.
Drawing attention to the alarming findings from the previous year, which revealed the detrimental effects of excessive screen time on students' eyesight, particularly in the context of digital learning during the pandemic, Lim expressed her sincere hope that this campaign would empower students to prioritize and safeguard their precious eyes.

"Our aim is to educate students about invaluable eye care tips and exercises, enabling them to take proactive measures in maintaining optimal eye health," stated Lim. "Furthermore, we are proud to have sponsored 79 pairs of prescription glasses, a tangible effort to improve the vision of underprivileged B40 students and provide them with the tools they need to succeed academically. We understand the struggles faced by some children who are unable to see clearly in class due to limited resources."

To make eye health education truly engaging, Rohto Eye Care incorporated an array of enjoyable activities, including blindfold games and an art contest. These initiatives aimed to reinforce the importance of maintaining healthy eyes and fostered a sense of enjoyment and participation among the students.

Impaired eyesight among children is a growing global concern, particularly in Asia. Addressing this issue requires collective efforts to educate the public about how poor eye conditions can significantly impact a child's eyesight and overall eye health.

Several factors contribute to poor eyesight, including genetics and lifestyle choices such as excessive screen time, reading in low light, and lack of sleep. By raising public consciousness about these influential factors, Rohto Eye Care aims to empower parents and caregivers to adopt measures that mitigate their negative impact on their children's vision.

Early detection of refractive errors is vital for timely intervention and effective treatment. Parents are encouraged to remain vigilant for warning signs such as frequent squinting, persistent headaches, habitual eye rubbing, an inability to focus at appropriate distances, and an avoidance of activities that rely on clear eyesight.

Promoting healthy eye habits is indispensable for preserving optimal eyesight in children.

It is crucial to instill the practice of taking regular breaks from screens, ensuring proper lighting for reading and studying, emphasizing outdoor activities to alleviate eye strain, and prioritizing sufficient sleep. Regular eye examinations play an indispensable role in monitoring visual health and proactively managing refractive errors.

In certain cases, children may require prescription glasses to attain and maintain optimal visual acuity. By collaborating with eye care professionals, Rohto Eye Care ensures that each child's individual needs are accurately assessed and met, empowering them to embrace the world with clarity and confidence.

Rohto Eye Care's outstanding achievement in its CSR campaign underscores the brand's unwavering dedication to promoting eye health and overall well-being among children.

Through its sponsorship of prescription glasses and relentless efforts to raise awareness about the significance of eye health, Rohto Eye Care continues to make an enduring positive impact on the community, paving the way for a brighter and more promising future for the younger generation.

Shopee Launches First-of-its-Kind Nationwide Campaign

‘Shopee Spotlights Local — Unveiling Malaysian Gems’ calls for Malaysians to shop local e-commerce sellers to preserve Malaysia’s heritage, nurture local talents, and drive our economy in an inclusive and sustainable way.

By making the book, the first of its kind in this country, available to the public from 31 August 2023, Shopee aims to empower all Malaysians to start shopping purposefully with an immediate focus on Made-in-Malaysia products from underserved communities.

Upholding its mission of using technology to help the underserved, Shopee empowers sellers by identifying and highlighting local sellers for better access to marketing solutions and hyper-localised campaigns, managing them so they succeed on Shopee, increasing seller education via its free Shopee University courses, and providing incentives so they find more opportunities on Livestream commerce.

The 100-page, full-colour booklet (downloadable in English and Bahasa Malaysia on Shopee Malaysia PR Newsroom website) is the first part of a series of episodic content that gives voice to Malaysian sellers breaking barriers online. It profiles Shopee sellers in each state who are top performing in terms of popularity, biggest storefronts, green products, exporters, livestreamers, and women-owned businesses. In addition, the book includes street-level stories and testimonials of sellers who have used their online success to uplift others in their communities.

Shopee is using the Shopee Spotlights Local campaign and authentic seller stories to promote greater awareness on how buying from small, independent sellers in our neighborhoods preserve local industries, reduce the carbon footprint, increase the level of personalised offerings, and encourage more homegrown entrepreneurs and innovators. Doubling as a handy guide for users to protect themselves, the book offers tips on shopping safely, understanding Shopee Guarantee, identifying responsible sellers, and its 100% Authenticity policy.

The vignettes about sellers pursuing their dreams online and showing us that Malaysians from all walks of life can build communities, include:

● Zeeda Aziz of Pasar Kedah, who did not let her leg amputation stop her from expanding her ikan bilis business online

● Edward Wong of HomeDecoStore, who listened to his customers and designed prayer mats customised to local preferences

● Hafiz Oon of Mr Bentong, whose popular ginger juices have garnered so much word of mouth that he sources from ten ginger farms in Pahang to meet demands

“Malaysian businesses near you are often the beating heart of our local economy and the backbone of our communities. When you shop locally online, you are supporting Made-in- Malaysia products from underserved communities. We are heartened to see the support that many of our local sellers continue to receive through their online businesses, and remain committed to partnering with and supporting them in their e-commerce journey,” said Kenneth Soh, Head of Marketing at Shopee Malaysia.

Shopee aims to distribute 15,000 free copies of the booklet to users free in all states as they receive their parcels from SPX by Malaysia Day. The online version of the book is available for download at: https://sites.google.com/shopee.com/prnewsroom/home
