Chillaxing at Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour

I was slightly confused at first when I tried to find out where Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour was when I keyed in Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour to get routed to the Hotel Jen's website. It was then I learned that Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour had underwent a rebranding. 

However it is slightly strange that the reception is located on the 1st floor of the hotel.

When you  enter the hotel you will see a lovely contemporary decor that reminds you of waves or the sea and then female staff dressed in bright orange blouses  and black slacks, and a very distinctive name tag in the form of a dog-tag LAPD type badge. 

The best thing to Hotel Jen is that it is right next door to and just a 3-minute walk to Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park. 

There is a small convenience shop selling snacks and tidbits known as "On The Go" on the ground floor and vending machines selling snacks, drinks and even power banks at the entryway to the shops right behind the hotel.

This pretty hotel is located just a 5-minute drive from Legoland and about 35- minutes away from the  Johor Premium Outlets and Senai International Airport via car.

The room was very elegant and attractive with solid hardwood floors, and murals of fish above the bed.  It also has an attached bathroom equipped with a hairdryer.

It also comes with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a seating area that can actually covert to a bed as well much to our surprise (you can pull out the bottom area for another bed ), as I was quite all set to have to share the king size bed with both my husband and daughter (there is also a spare blanket and pillow in one of the drawers!!!) and the normal tea/coffee making facilities.

You can also choose to enjoy a relaxing steam bath or traditional massages if you like and upon checking in you will receive a RM100 discount off the spa services. 

The Jen Hotel Puteri Harbour spoils their guests with a rooftop swimming pool, a fitness centre and free Wi-Fi (I love the good high speed Wi-Fi) access at all areas.

My daughter loves the pools. There are three pools all together on the rooftop, a shallow children's pool, a salt water jacuzzi type pool and an infinity type pool. A little girl (not my daughter) was overheard complaining while swimming in the salt water jacuzzi that she could not swim in salt water...hehehe

You can admire the view of the small harbour there with boats and yachts harboured there as well. It looks simply dreamy during sunrise or sunset...

Offering beautiful harbour views, Harbour Café will serve an array of local and international flavours. Guests can also choose from a selection of wines and cocktails at Sky Bar.

Traders Hotel, Puteri Harbour also features a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage space and meeting/banquet facilities.

All in all, I really enjoyed my stay at the Jen Hotel Puteri Harbour... It has been amazing...

The Little BIG Club at Puteri Harbour Theme Park

The Little Big Club is spread over two levels of the Puteri Harbour Theme Park on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building. It is here at the Little Big Club where your children can meet their favourite childhood characters, Bob the Builder®, Barney®, Angelina Ballerina®, Pingu® and Thomas & Friends®. 

Fun at Sanrio Hello Kitty Town

My little daughter and I along with my husband who was kind of dragged into it finally visited the Puteri Harbour Theme Park. The Puteri Harbour Theme Park is a large building - a four storey indoor theme park comprising Sanrio Hello Kitty Town, The Little Big Club and a themed restaurant attraction called Lat's Place.

I think the Puteri Harbour Theme Park is ideal for young kids, ideally age 10 and below, but out of curiousity, I  brought my 10 year old daughter there....

Now I have been a fan of Hello Kitty and My Melody ever since I was a kid too, anyway, who can resist the cute characters of Sanrio?!!

Staying at the Mutiara Johor Bahru

I was in Johor Bahru for the weekend with my hubby and little girl and  we stayed one night at the Mutiara Hotel Johor Bahru which is located in the heart of to prime commercial and shopping malls. It is this strategic position makes the Mutiara Hotel Johor Bahru the perfect choice for business travelers.

Are you one of those people who love to use fragrances? I know I do and one thing that make me bemoan using fragrances is the prices. To get a nice high quality branded fragrance, it cost almost an arm and a leg, well at least it does to those of us who are earning an average salary between RM1,000- RM3,000 or so right..
