Happy mother's day to all mothers.

As a mother our job is neverending and worse all we do not get paid,  except with hugs and kisses once a while. And we cannot even quit from this job.

We will feel angry, hurt, love, pride, terror, worry etc etc.. A myriad of all sorts of feelings, some which can cause us lots of stress as well but we have to manage it.

To all mothers out there.. Happy Mother's Day!!!

This year I got some small pressure from my beautiful girls and surprise.. Surprise.. My one and only son called me in the morning to wish me a Happy Mother's Day.. Something that rarely occurred in his 18 years!!!!

I love my babies... Also my beautiful step children... Alyssa and Daniel.. Am am blessed to have them in my life...

I decided to make an English breakfast meal this morning consisting of sauteed mushrooms, scrambled eggs and English Breakfast sausages with salad tossed in organic balsamic vinegar.

I tried out my recipe half improvised from some recipes online and hey.. The mushroom tasted awesome!!!

I got some swiss brown mushrooms for this.

There was a man with four wives. He loved his fourth wife the most and took
a great care of her and gave her the best.

He also loved his third wife
and always wanted to show her off to his friends. However, he was always
had a fear that she might runaway with some other man.

He loved his second
wife too. Whenever he faced some problems, he always turned to his second wife and she would always help him out.

He did not love his first wife
though she loved him deeply, was very loyal to him and took great care of
him.

One day the man fell very ill and knew that he is going to die soon.

He told himself, "I have four wives with me. I will take one of them along
with me when I die to keep company in my death."

Thus, he asked the fourth wife to die along with him and keep company. "No
way!" she replied and walked away without another word.

He asked his third wife.She said "Life is so good over here. I'm going to
remarry when you die".

He then asked his second wife. She said "I'm Sorry. I can't help you this
time around. At the most I can only accompany you til your grave."

By now his heart sank and turned cold.
Then a voice called out: "I'll leave with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." the man looked up and there was his first wife.

She was so skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the man said, "I should have taken much better care of you while I could have!"

Actually, we all have four wives in our lives.

a. The fourth wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll leave us when w die.

b. The third wife is our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they
go to others.

c. the second wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they
had been there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is
up to the grave.

d. the first wife is our soul, neglected in our pursuit of material wealth and pleasure. It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go.

This is really one of the best stories I have read..

Gambar Rozita Che Wan dan Zain Saidin bercuti di Koh Samui menjadi perbualan hangat apabila sekeping gambar mereka berdua di atas katil ketika berada di sana yang dikatakan kurang sesuai.

Dalam foto itu, mereka berdua telah berbaring sambil ber'selfie' di atas katil yang dihiasi kelopak rose berbentuk love.

Che Ta telahpun berkongsi gambar ini di dalam Instagramnya dengan caption "Good morning frm #kohsamui wtluv @therealzainsaidin".

Gambar itu seolah-olah disalah erti oleh ramai pihak apabila ada yang mengkritik foto yang dikongsi itu tidak manis walapun mereka berdua suami isteri.

Saya memang tak faham kenapa orang mesti ada sesuatu untuk memburukkan orang lain. Kenapa gambar begitu jadi controversi pun saya tidak faham kerana mereka suami isteri yang sah,bukannya kekasih yang belum kahwin.

Rasa saya ada orang yang dengki melihat orang lain bahagia.

Little Daughter meets Julian Cheung Chi Lam aka Captain Cool

My daughter saw a bunting of Julian Cheung or better known to his fans as Chi Lam aka Captain Cool, at the Ogawa outlet at Giant Batu Caves a couple of weeks before.
So she wanted to meet him. He was after all a good looking actor and singer.. And now brand ambassador for Ogawa among other things.
She saw him when her mother, ah, yes, that would be me, was busy watching Hong Kong TVB series the Triumph of the Skies 2, and oogling over the good looking casts over Astro on Demand.
So she pleaded with me to bring her to see him "live".
We queued half an hour before with other excited teenagers etc and when the man appeared, she was frowning at the older girls as they were excitedly squealing and shrieking "Chi Lam" ,"Chi Lam" upon seeing him.
Later, she complained to me about those older girls being so dramatic.
Ahhhh.. My little girl!!!
Anyway, up close, Julian Cheung really look good, for his age-41. He really does not look a day over 35 !!!

Bombing in Hat Yai

6th May - HAT YAI: Four separate bomb blasts hit Hat Yai district of Songkhla hurting at least 6 people. A fifth bomb discovered near the entrance to some flats inside Prince of Songkhla Hospital was fortunately, safely defused.

The bombs separately went off at around 1.30pm in front of the 7 Eleven convenient store on Ponpichai Road and near the police flats opposite Hat Yai police station. The blast there at the police flats damaged many vehicles as the bomb was placed near the police station's parking area.

Fire fighters rushed to the scene to control the flames caused by the explosions. Later reports said two more bomb blasts hit an area near Hat Yai railway station as well as close to the Robinson department store.

Instant noodles/maggi mee does not cause cancer

I love my maggi curry noodles. I also love Wing's "fried" noodles with sambal and the Korean Ramen. Instant noodles has somewhat became necessity. Most regular lower income/ lower medium income homes have a few packs around the house for times when you are hungry.. The times you have a very limited budget etc.

According to the above picture, which has been circulating around a lot, instant noodles supposedly contains a wax coating to stop them from sticking together.

There are also claims that the polystyrene foam containers the noodles come in also have a coating of wax.

The message warns readers that this wax can build up in our bodies and cause cancer.

It advises consumers to wait at least three days between eating noodles because our bodies need about two days to clean out the wax.

However, the claims in the message are utter nonsense. Neither noodles nor polystyrene foam food containers are coated with wax. 

This is not true.  The wax on both the containers and the noodles would quickly melt away when boiling water was added and would therefore be utterly pointless.

An article on noodle myths on the Monde Nissin website says:

Noodle strands do not stick together as a natural process of slitting or cutting the noodle dough into strands, steaming, and then frying in normal cooking oil.

The polystyrene foam does a great job of retaining heat and holding foods and liquids, and definitely does not need a wax coating.

And, if the noodles and the containers did have a wax coating, there is no credible evidence to support the claim that consuming this wax could lead to cancer.

As a matter of fact, various types of waxes are used regularly in various foods such as confectionary and as a coating for products such as cheese. While eating a large amount of some types of wax may lead to intestinal obstruction, wax is non-toxic when consumed in small amounts and there is no proof that it has carcinogenic properties.

Wax does not build up in your body as claimed in the "warning". Wax cannot be digested but simply passes through the body unchanged.
