14,000 Fun Runners took on the streets of Putrajaya for the AmMetLife ELECTRIC RUN RECHARGED

There was a huge sea of people at Anjung Floria, Precinct 4, Putrajaya on the 29th of July, all there for just one reason which was none other then the AmMetLife ELECTRIC RUN RECHARGED 2017.

Participants of all ages came together to keep fit and had an amazing fun at the AmMetLife ELECTRIC RUN RECHARGED. With 5km of the most unique and biggest, brightest, neon coloured route designed , AmMetLife ELECTRIC RUN RECHARGED is a great example to us all that it is possible to make healthy living fun and exciting with an electrifying night of entertaining activities and great music.

Organized by Livescape Group partnered with AmMetLife Insurance and supported by Malaysia Major Events (MME), the run amped up the night as 14,000 runners of all ages from various countries around the region converge for an exclusive journey of light and sound through time, with various zones, each representing a unique theme and music era, making it the most electrifying experience. 

My mini me and I were a part of it and she loved every moment of it... except maybe going up some slopes which she would then complain... but getting to see her favorite singers DeFam, SonaOne and Silento up close made it all worth her while...

AmMetLife ELECTRIC RUN RECHARGED brought to life these nine unique course lands which were all unique stand alone areas that took participants through a truly immersive journey:

- The Start Line

- Hip Hop

- EDM

- Sugarrush

- Polyphonics

- Stardust

- Disco

- Rainbow Road

- The Finish Line / Celebration Stage

The fun run flagged off at 8pm and ended on a high note at the finish line which was turned into a celebration. 

Maintaining the high energy levels post-run, participants were further pumped up by having local artists such as CUURLEY, Amanda Avyanna & Blastique, SonaOne and De Fam share the same stage.

Malaysia's homegrown talent, pop trio, DeFam entertained the crowd with their Number 1 Hit single #SUPERGIRLS amongst other familiar songs that the crowd sang along to.

 Participants were seen dancing to the Billboard chart topper and Hip Hop sensation, Silento as he performed “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” which also marked the end of biggest Electric Run in Malaysia.

It is not just all fun and games at the AmMetLife ELECTRIC RUN RECHARGED, this year the organizers, partners and sponsors have all worked together with singer/songwriter, Amanda Avyanna and music producer/DJ, Blastique to create a theme song called “We Run The Night”. Signifying the unity of people and friendships forged, “We Run The Night” was performed by Amanda Avyanna and Blastique for the very first time at the celebration stage. You can download the song on Bandcamp (http://milehighsounds.bandcamp.com/track/we-run-the-night) up until 5th August 2017 for a minimum fee of USD$0.50 where all proceeds will be donated to Cerebral Palsy Association of Malaysia (GAPS).

The infectious tunes throughout the run till the very end at the celebration stage kept the crowd grooving through the night. AmMetLife ELECTRIC RUN RECHARGED has certainly brought an elevated experience year after year providing a luminescent night to remember for fans who made their way there.
