Happening Activities at MATTA Fair

I always love it when MATTA fair comes around and what is not to like about it, there are so much amazing holiday packages, hotel stays and so on up for grabs, and even if you are not exactly travelling anywhere, it is always fun to go just to check out what is there and kill some time there enjoying the little freebies you can collect as well, free food tasting, and the little experiences sometimes money cannot buy....That is what MATTA fair is to me and I will not miss MATTA fair unless something comes up..

And for the first time, MATTA Fair is also introducing an Umrah pavilion for those of us who want to travel to Mecca next year. So if you are planning to visit the Muslim Holy Land and its vicinity, you definitely should head over there to check it out.....

Whenever I am at the MATTA fair, I cannot help but be drawn to some of the main pavilions like a butterfly to the flower....

Why? Oh, it is because of the various money can't buy experience you can actually experience....Come, check it out with me, so you know where to go and what to do.....

The Imagine Your Korea or Korea Pavilion has a Ski Experience Zone where you can try skiing or tobogganing down a slope dressed in winter clothing.

They will take a picture for you for keepsake and after your skiing or tobogganing experience, you get to take pictures with two models in ski clothing as well....

Close your eyes and imagine yourself in Korea's Yongpyong or High1 or Vivaldi resort....but well, if you want the real thing, go check it out and book yourself to the real deal....

Be sure to check out the Everland booth as well at least just to admire these cute mascots...and also try your luck at the 'jackpot ' there where if you manage to get all three similar logos up, you can get a surprise gift for free... I got mine... and it was a monopod.... LOL

Then you can try some detoxification and healthy tea at the Korea Health tourism booth which is a little  hidden away at the top , yeapp... you have to climb some stairs...and get treated to a small cup of herbal tea which is very refreshing and can do wonders for your health (but maybe not such a small cup) and have some snacks as well..

Then you can get a brief peek at what they are offering at the Malgeunsaram Integrated Medical Clinic.. which includes Clean Blood Detoxification Centre, Residence Diet & Fitness Centre, Micro Plastic Surgery Centre as well as Medical Skin & Body Care Centre...

Just for that, you will get a sample of their Oriental Enzyme Detox tea to try out... so now you should know where to head to if you want to emerge a new you and go for a proper detox and so on..

These detox are absolutely amazing and can do you a whole load of a difference if you have cancer, diabetes, hypertension, skin disease, obesity, brain disease, heart disease, thyroid gland, infertility and chronic fatigue syndrome.. however it will take anywhere from one month up to one year before you can see the new improved you.... however the setback is of course, you have to have the money... LOL....

Me? I just want to head to Korea and visit the amazing historical sights... after all I am the historical buff fan.... hahaha.....

At the Japanese Pavilion, I was pleasantly surprised to be offered some Japanese Shaved Ice... well, it is just like our Ais Kepal... but it is refreshing....

Check out the Activities Time Schedule here... there are lots going on and I am only one person wondering around and cannot divide myself else I would be dividing myself to 10 people and staying put in all pavilions....LOL

I got to see one of the travel agents holding this Japanese 3 string guitar also, she said it was common in Okinawa....

If you are there at the Japanese Pavilion, do check out the booths slowly, get a few brochures and like their FB pages and fill up some surveys and you get some of the most adorable souvenirs from Japan... ranging from postcards, little handphone strap bells, key chains, note pads and so on...

Japan is a nice place to visit... I have fond memories of the places I visit while visiting Tokyo, and I certainly wish with all my heart to be able to head towards Osaka soon...

At the Hong Kong Pavilion, you can download their app from the play store and get to do a lucky dip... I ended up with a cute yellow rubber ducky...

At the same time check out their booths...for more info....on where to bring your kiddies or family for the coming holidays etc....

I then headed to the Taiwan Pavilion... again, take the time to check out the myriad of activities happening at every hour etc...

When I was there they were busy making A-Jou Peanut Ice Cream Roll......

It was quite fascinating.....

...and it looks like our own popiah..... but the taste... is pretty refreshing and unique.....

Of course, check out all the hotel stays, leisure farms and tour packages they have which is pretty impressive...You can also get some lovely souvenirs here like pens , a mini plastic container, note pads etc.... Taiwan is one of my favorite places as well and I so wish I can visit South of Taiwan someday...soon, hopefully...

I could not resist taking a picture of these lovely young Turkish people in their national costumes...at the Turkey Pavilion. Head there to find out more about their glorious UNESCO buildings and sites... they have so many.

Turkey is also where I would dearly love to visit....

If you are looking for a 100% bumiputera travel operator offering Muslim packages and who will be quite particular over prayer /solat times, you should check out POTO Travel and Tours. They offer a very wide choice of tour packages at the most competitive prices.

Be sure to check out their Bonanza 7 and 'Early Bird' Bonanza 8 promotions !!! You won't want to miss those!!!

POTO Travel and Tours are also offering a variety of packages for Umrah, to suit your budget...and this would include Premium Umrah packages as well.... so head over to their Pavilion and check it out...

Feeling peckish after covering a couple of halls? There are some of the regular food stalls there, A&W can satisfy your hunger with their burger or coney dog and rootbeer or rootbeer float.....

Actually..... yes, actually, you are suppose to tour the Malaysian booths first, and when you enter the MATTA Fair halls, you will see this first... but somehow I always take a short cut and escape to the International booths first and cover local booths last... LOL

There are plenty of great hotel stays, packages and activities here as well from all 13 states and the 3 federal territories (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan)

Yours truly here browse through the interesting hotel packages and places of interest the different states are having and well, take a picture with their national costumes... to my foreign friends, Malaysia has a potpourri of cultures and races that does not stop at just Chinese, Indian and Malay.... but also many other indigenous and different races and each of their national costumes differ as well...

On the top we have the Ibans from Sarawak (or at least I think so....forgive me if I am wrong as I am hazarding a wild guess)
  1. Sarawak is a Malaysian state on Borneo. It is the largest State in Malaysia. It stretches along the island’s northwest coast, including many beaches on the South China Sea.
  2. It is best known for the rugged, dense rainforest of its interior, much of it protected parkland, and being home to diverse indigenous tribes (including the Iban), endemic flora and fauna. The capital, Kuching, is a bustling, diverse city set on the Sarawak River.

These are the lovely Kadazans from Sabah......Sabah is a state
occupying the northern part of Borneo, neighbouring Sarawak. It is

well known for its 4,095m-tall Mt. Kinabalu, the highest peak on

the island, crowned with distinctive granite spires.

Sabah is also known for its beaches, rainforest, coral reefs and

abundant endemic wildlife, much of it within parks and reserves.

Offshore, the Sipadan and Mabul islands are noted diving

destinations

And from the states, yours truly here went on to check out the very interesting theme parks booths...

Be scared, be very very scared as Sunway Lagoon Malaysia brings out a couple (or maybe more if you are lucky) of their scary people from their Night of Frights event.

Most of us who have been to Sunway Lagoon Malaysia for their Halloween fest Night of Frights, will be used to seeing Mr Chaos here.... but it seems this year, Mr Chaos has found himself a bride???!!!  Oh no.... anyway the coming Nights of Frights promises to be 3x more scarier then ever.....

Check out the Sunway Lagoon booth for great deals for the Nights of Fright as well as their parks...you really should not miss them!!!!

Need more scares as well as splashing fun? Check out the Wet World Waterpark in Shah Alam too.... this nice guy with the black jacket seems to have a very scary friend attached to him...I nearly leapt out of my skin when I passed them....

Oh hooo.... the new Angry Bird theme park is also open and in JB... so for those of you heading to JB/ Singapore , you can consider going on a crazy theme park week... hahaha...

Let's see... Day 1, Legoland; Day 2, Hello Kitty Town / Little BIG Club (Hello Kitty Town has a new attraction you might like to check out!!!); Day 3, Angry Bird ; Day 4, Universal Studios Singapore; Day 5, KidZania Singapore (heard they are opening very soon)???!!! Just the idea.... Hahaha.... but if you are game, I think all of the above have booths at the MATTA Fair...so go plan...

Oh.... when I was about to leave the MATTA fair, I was mesmerized for an instant by this lady singing and playing the violin... She was good... her voice was captivating....She is none other then Mia Ismi, a singer /violinist from Jakarta...

There were also an umbrella painting demonstration......

And I was also fascinated by this guy... Apparently he is from Kupang...Indonesia. And well, when I asked the Indonesian guy nearby, I was told, ah well... Kupang is quite far away... you know Bali? Lombok? Then after these places... there is Kupang....and he plays an instrument called Sasando..

Anyway Kupang, according to Google is in East Nusa Tenggara....on Timor...

And the Sasando....

Ok, so my visit to MATTA Fair came to an end... and oh, by the way, for all of you heading somewhere or other, here are some more news...
Malindo Air is running an airfare promotion for flights bound for both domestic and international destinations.
Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is also offering discounts of between 30 and 50 per cent on promotion tickets purchased here at the MATTA fair. Malaysia Airlines is definitely a big presence via the many travel agents at the fair and the discounts will be offered to all MAS destinations.
So what are you waiting for... go check out the MATTA Fair now......You have until tomorrow (6th September) to do so...
