‘Taste-vaganza’ at the Curve’s Foodie Fest

Attention all foodies, and of course, note to self... lol! Get ready for the upcoming ultimate food lover’s fiesta in the heart of Mutiara Damansara, as the Curve brings a gastronomical haven to life.

 A three-day Foodie Fest weekend, beginning from October 2 to 4 ,2015, will be a food-filled festival featuring 18 stalls offering a range of yummy snacks, thirst-quenching beverages, sinful desserts, scrumptious pastries and more! Visitors will be spoilt for culinary choice as they wander through the street-food ambience set up at the Curve’s Centre Court.

From Thai coconut ice cream, unique localised types of tea, tasty fusion food dishes, delectable pies, cakes and waffles, to bottled caffeine-to-go, keropok lekor and more, the Foodie Fest will be a mouth-watering weekend to savour.

But more than just great food awaits shoppers! Aspiring home cooks will have the chance to witness the inspiring skills of two of Malaysia’s top chefs. The two will not only be sharing their expertise and flair in cooking demos, but will also get up close with fans at Meet-and-Greet sessions.

MasterChef Malaysia 2011 finalist Chef Nik Michael Imran will be whipping up Caesar Salad, Chicken Kari Kapitan and Pandan Crème Brûlée at 5.30pm on Saturday. 

Meanwhile, multi-talented and internationally-recognised TV personality Chef Sherson Lian will be on stage at 5.00pm on Sunday, cooking up a storm with Kacang Pool with Poached Egg, Fried Bread and Pan Fried Miso Orange Cod with Jumbo White Asparagus.

Jazmi Kamarudin, General Manager of the Curve, said, “With an ever growing list of well-known restaurants, cafes, pubs and bistros, and of course with our al-fresco dining area along The Street, food has always been a big part of the Curve. Foodie Fest is our take on celebrating the Malaysian love for delicious street-style food, and we hope our patrons will have a great time throughout the weekend!”

And you will get to enjoy all that good food with great entertainment by Elizabeth Tan, Malaysian YouTube sensation. Elizabeth who has been thrilling fans with her talents, will grace the Foodie Fest with her presence and perform several songs live on stage on Sunday at 2.00pm. Qayyum Irwani, winner of Raja Spontan Era will also be there throughout the weekend as the guest emcee.

Chef Nik Michael Imran added, “There’s nothing better than enjoying great-tasting dishes with friends, and the Foodie Fest is a unique opportunity to do just that. Having had such an unforgettable experience with MasterChef Malaysia, I’m excited to share some of my favourite tips and tricks that I’ve learnt since then. I hope to see plenty of fellow foodies at the Curve!”

Chef Sherson Lian applauded the idea of the Foodie Fest, expressing his excitement for the event. “I’m thrilled that the Curve has invited me to be a part of this three-day food extravanganza! Having inherited my love for cooking from my mother, I am a firm believer in sharing my passion for good food and certainly relish this opportunity to do so. I’m truly looking forward to meeting fans and food lovers at the cooking demo,” he said.

Shoppers can get ready for Foodie Fest fun with exclusive Masterculinary Apron Sets available for redemption a week in advance! From September 28 to October 4, 2015, simply spend a minimum of RM150 with a maximum of two accumulative receipts on the same day from any outlet at the Curve to redeem this set of two custom-made aprons.
