The Best Korean Babbling Comedy Quartet....ONG-ALS

What did you do during your recent weekend? Me? I had a something different as my little girl and I headed over to the Manhattan Ballroom at the Berjaya Times Square to check out the Kuala Lumpur International Comedy Festival happening there .

In case you did not know it... how slow are you... This is the BIGGEST International Comedy Festival in the Region with over 60 of the World's Funniest Comedians from 14 different countries brought together to entertain the few of us in Kuala Lumpur.... also known as the KLIC Fest 2015!!!

We were welcomed by the "Godfather of Malaysian Stand-Up Comedy" Harith Iskander, who had carefully curated and put this KLIC Fest together.

We were here to watch the ONG-ALS in action. The ONG-ALS are a very highly entertaining, skillful and inventive production.

It was my first time watching them and from the very start up to the end of their show, both my daughter , me and the whole hall were dissolved in laughter, some laughing until tears flowed...

It is so obvious once you have watched their show, how they perform and tour in sold-out shows around the world...despite being 100% Korean. This group transcend language and cultural barriers as they present their 'babbling man-baby' physical comedy routine...

The ONG-ALS display impressive slapstick, clown, mime, exaggerated physical comedy, beatbox brilliance and exceptional juggling abilities....

They might look a little dumb with their colourful rompers and behave like overgrown babies but they definitely will entertain you better then a whole load of other stand up comedies... Seriously, and sorry to say this, after watching the ONG-ALS in action, the LAUGH MALAYSIA Gala Night slightly paled in comparison....but then again I only stayed up until about 10pm... had to go home as I stayed quite a distant away and had my youngest kid with me, and we were relying on public transportation...

The four members of Ong-Als invented their own weird language consisting of baby talk, exaggerated facial expressions, and childlike gesture.

Be sure to watch out for a "magic trick" using a “koka kola” (pepsi) can done by the guy with the spectacles in green baby suit, after he is 'left out' from getting any by his friends... he is brilliant in juggling as well as you can see....

The other member that comes out later in the show in blue outfit is an amazing world class beat-boxer, and you will truly be amazed by his skill.... he can make so many different type of sounds from music to car, motorcycle, plane and so on....I am sure there were many kids who had their mouths hanging open as well watching him perform.....

So now you know that Korea is not only famous for K-Pop or K-Beauty but also K-Comedy... and I really wish these boys will come back soon to Malaysia... I want to watch more!!!!!

We were fortunate to be able to meet the guys at the photo booth and take some pictures with them....Thank you so much to Chris aka Spinzer for the tickets for this amazing show.... I had a blast... it was amazing and I want MOOORRRREEEE....

KLIC Fest is still on until tomorrow the 23rd September, so go check it out and watch some of the shows...

And I guess that is what celebrities like Amber Chia and Adibah Noor was thinking when they came back for seconds.. I would too!!!

Here... sharing a mini clip of them I found on YouTube at the Melbourne International Comedy Fest....
