X'MAS BAZAAR & FLASH MOB SURPRISE at SUNGEI WANG PLAZA

Life is already begins to be a struggle when you get married and have two or more kids. With rising inflation rates and scary escalating cost, both husband and wives struggle to make ends meet to support the family and pay the bills... So, when a woman who is a mother loses her husband, the burden is twofold.

Sungei Wang Plaza's management team was however magnanimous and generous enough to organize a Single Mom Charity Bazaar to give back to the community last weekend...

This bazaar was a part of Sungei Wang Plaza's CSR program in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Pudu that aimed to appreciate single mom's selfless efforts towards their families and to enable them get some extra income for the festive season /and new school year as well as to create awareness with other members of the public for single parenthood.

The Single Mom Charity Bazaar was held for 2 consecutive days from the 19th to the 20th of December. There were stalls selling ladies products ranging from clothes to accessories, beauty product as well as food and beverages. Part of the proceeds were donated to the Single Mothers Association...

There were a few noteworthy stalls, and among these was this little table where the owner, Vicky Liew, a single mom was showcasing and selling the most adorable and cute fondant cupcakes and butter cookies..

Being a fan of cutesy stuff, I could not resist getting one for my mini me, and on for myself.....

Then there was this stall selling the most adorable batik cushions and soft toys as well.. all lovingly handmade....

Really hope Sungei Wang Plaza will bring these Single Moms back again....I want to see more of their goodies....

Later in the afternoon, tourist, shoppers and passerbys alike were surprised and thrilled by the Christmas Flash Mob that took place at several locations within Sungei Wang Plaza.

The routine began with 25 professional and student dancers appearing among the crowd dressed in cheery Christmas-sy outfits and started to dance...

The Christmas 'celebration' got more energetic and fun when the crowd just got eventually got bigger ....

....creating a giant, spontaneous public spectacle of united Christmas musical expression....

It was really fun watching them dance and even breakdance to Christmas tunes....

Shortly , after that.... there was some photo opportunities for us members of the media....

Before we headed across the street in a merry procession to the PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur...

Once there at the PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur, the dancers broke out another flash mob drew attention  from thrilled and stunned hotel guests in the lobby....

We were then taken for a little tour around the hotel, which I will share in another blog post, before heading to the PARKROYAL Grand Ballroom for a Christmas Party

Some of the food we enjoyed....before getting down to games... such as a pop quiz...

... as well as a limbo rock competition between members of the media and also the flash mob team....both, which members of the media team won... hehehe

Everyone got to bring home a lovely butter cookie by Vicky (mentioned above) as well as a surprise lucky draw Christmas gift that ranged from musical carousels, vouchers and other fabulous and interesting prizes...

Just a little note.... PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur will of course be having a Noel-inspired menu themed at 'A Magical Christmas' where you can enjoy Traditional Seafood and Roast Buffet Dinner at the Chatz Brasserie while on Christmas Day, PARKROYAL will showcase a Premium Buffet Lunch, as well as a Seafood and Carvery Buffet Dinner.

Chatz Brasserie is also introducing 6 different pies, namely the Steak and Kidney pie, Chicken Mushroom pie, Salmon and Spinach pie, Cranberry Mousse pie, Christmas Pecan Pie and not forgetting the Lemon Meringue Pie...

If you haven't got a place to celebrate your New Year eve, do check out the Poolside Barbecue under the Stars followed by a Countdown at Klix Lounge....

And well.... as you all know, Sungei Wang Plaza is the best lace to look for all kinds of everything.. and all at very reasonable prices...

Thank you to Sungei Wang Plaza and PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur for having me and all the treats...

    1. Absolutely... this kind of opportunity to have a bazaar in a popular mall is very slim.. and they need to make it more often if possible...other malls should do so too...
