A Trick-or-Treat time at Sungei Wang Plaza

It may have began as an ancient Celtic holiday of Samhain, but nowadays Halloween has become less about literal ghosts and ghouls and more about costumes and candy. Halloween has since transitioned from a somber pagan ritual to a day of merriment, costumes and sweet treats for children and adults.
And being an overgrown kid, I love to have fun and I always look forward celebrating each and every festive season the best I can, exposing my children along with it.

We, my youngest daughter and I were at the Sungei Wang Plaza a couple of days ago to experience a whole day of “Halloween treats” at Sungei Wang Plaza. And it was not only all about me, but there were other bloggers and members of the media there as well.. Sungei Wang Plaza has decided to make Halloween fun and unforgettable for its shoppers.

Anyway, our trip through the mall that has “all kinds of everything” was certainly exciting…
Our first stop was at the newly opened 9D Cinema on the 3rd floor- the lifestyle and entertainment floor…This 9D cinema was like a video arcade cum 5D cinema and you get to feel like you are inside the game running away or  chasing the villain or shooting them down, in our case, the bats, the one-hand man and pumpkin king, with effects all over the place, little sprays of water, bubbles, etc..etc…etc..

Equipped with the latest technology and special effect machineries, this 9D  Cinema is set to deliver maximum viewing pleasure and fun to all. Go on, go check it out...

Ms Yuen May Chee, Complex Managet of Sungei Wang Plaza said the objective of this unique initiative was to showcase and promote the unique tenants mix here in Sungei Wang Plaza

Anyway, our journey continues with a sumptuous lunch served at the U-Cafe where we feasted on the Halloween Set Lunch, consisting of  the Chef's Pumpkin Rice with Chicken Chop and creamy pumpkin soup. Each and every pumpkin was hollowed out and painstakingly carved beautifully, roasted to perfection and topped with signature fried rice and succulent chicken chop. The Halloween lunch set comes with a refreshing iced watermelon juice.... and it is on the menu for Halloween from 26th to 30th October 2015 at U-Cafe on Concourse Level....

The price??? Oh..... The price... is sooo..... affordable you cannot believe it is real... You can get all that for just RM14.75!!! Whaaa...at?? Yeah... most of us were feeling the same way when we heard the price.... So what are you waiting for?? Go get yours before Halloween is gone...

After our lunch, we proceeded to level 1 where we got intrigued and amazed at the skills of the talented tattoo master artists at Iron Bunny and Bloody Ink. The tattoo culture and outstanding skills and techniques at the Sungei Wang Plaza's tattoo shops has always been highly recommended and endorsed by both local and international tattoo enthusiasts .Prices start from as low as RM150 so if you are interested in getting inked, you know where to head to.... I swear I really love the designs... and if I wasn't that scared of needles.....

And.... tadaaa.... the answer to our prayers... somewhat... for those of us who are scared of needles... or cannot / do not want a permanent inked skin.... air brush tattoos.... We got these done at JR Tattoo, next to Iron Bunny....it just cost about RM10 and can last you a week or two... I got a cute little phoenix air brushed on my arm, my daughter got a pegasus on hers and blogger pal Reia got a cute bob cat on her neck!!!

Then it was off to MR DIY where we got into a mini "Supermarket Treasure Hunt" game... we were divided into groups and in my group was Ellie, Reia and me... not including the kiddos... and we were given a list of things to look for which got all of us scampering and racing up and down the aisles in MR DIY in quiet desperation and excitement... With over 20,000 variety of products that are stocked there, it certainly was no easy feat.... and well... my group did not win.... =(

We then trekked up to Level 6 where the Snips College of Creative Arts (SCCA) was. It is this place where talents of creative arts and fashion are being groomed and polished....We go a glimpse of the spacious college rooms..hair dressing, make up, fashion designing, modeling..... etcMy daughter and I were most intrigue with the Face Art demonstration. It was spooky at first since they were all making up for Halloween and some of the make up was indeed scary...but well, when it came to having a chance to being made up, I was not about to resist...

My lovely make up artiste was Michelle, the sweet young thing on the above right picture.. she not only gave me a 3D make up of a very badly bruised face but also obliged my little girl with some "cracks" or "cuts" in her face....My daughter was in her element with her make up....and check out the zippered alien guy.. isn't his make up really something..... it is soooooo realistic...

As a feather in their hat, SCCA  has received accolades in various categories such as the Top Academy Award, Best Student Award-Makeup and 1st runner -Up Best Student Award- Hair in the recent APHCA National Hair & Makeup Competition Award 2015

Looking for Halloween costumes? Check out the Anmani Show Costumes Outlet on LG Floor.. you can get face masks of all kind, costumes, wigs, even an instant six pack body if you so desire...There is just so many types of gloves, costumes, hats, wigs of all colours to choose from...

We took  group picture in our scary get ups in front of the main entrance to the amusement , amazement of passerby and even had tourists taking our pictures.....

All good things must come to an end and well, we ended the day with a pop.. errr... bang... heheeh...we had a lovely Halloween  tea break at Hui Lau Shan, a yummy dessert shop that originated from Hong Kong...

I ordered a Mango Pop Pop (RM10.90)  with yummy Mango mochi (RM5.90).. FYI....Hui Lau Shan Malaysia had passed through different milestones which included Brand Laureate SMEs Best Brand Award for F&B- The Best Dessert Brand 2013, and their Central Kitchen was certified by JAKIM HALAL in October...

With these exciting Halloween themed promotions line ups and all kinds of different specialty stores, each unique in their own way, shoppers would definitely have an amazing time with friends and family at Sungei Wang Plaza this Halloween... so go on, head over there now...
