The Scrumptious Foodie Fest....

From lip smacking dishes to pretty tempting desserts, the Curve’s first-ever Foodie Fest was an ultimate gastronomical haven for foodies, with fusion food, pastries, ice-cold beverages and more.

Those who were there at the Curve the previous weekend were indulged in all kinds of morsels some which were too heavenly to describe...

The three-day Foodie Fest weekend, began from the 2nd October to the 4th October  2015, was a food-filled festival featuring 18 stalls offering a range of yummy snacks, thirst-quenching beverages, sinful desserts, scrumptious pastries and more!

I for one was definitely spoilt for  choice deciding on what I should indulge with as I took a leisure stroll through the street-food like set up at the Curve’s Centre Court.

I liked that the pretend streets were all named after food as well... there was a Jalan Nasi Dagang, Jalan Char Koay Teow.... well, you get the idea..... LOL

Among some of the stalls I checked out was the Belanga Cafe store, where they were selling sauces as well as yummy chicken, beef and fish floss / serunding... and they were attractively packed in nice little bottles...

But what matters most is the taste.... it is yummy... and I was imagining eating it with my rice, my bread, etc...etc....etc....

Anyway for more info, check out Belanga's Facebook here

Chaiwalla & Co serves some pretty interesting drinks, besides tea and coffee.... We liked the yogurt pops in some sweet tea...

Yours truly here was pretty tempted at the Gourmet whisk stall as well..

They had this amazing chocolate brownie....

And this Rocher cheesecake which was really to die for for cheesecake lovers....

And the pies..... chicken pie, beef pie and apple pies were absolutely scrumptious...

For more info and to get some of these yummies... check out their Facebook...  or check out their Instagram @gourmetwhisk

And oh no... I forgot the name of the stall... but this one stall here was serving tempting Macaroon Ice Creams and my daughter was literally jumping up and down in excitement of wanting one....

She got a white (vanilla) macaroon I presume, and had it stuffed with chocolate ice cream

And proceeded to get it sprinkled with mini marshmallows, and coloured rice cereals...

It cost RM8 but was well worth the 'investment' hahaha.....

This Cool Soda Mint drink was really something else.... It tasted like Ice Cream soda and it was crammed with the goodness of lemon grass, mint leaves, green apples, sour plum, longan, lychee and a wedge of lemon... and was just RM8 per bottle....

Be sure to check out this unique new addiction...Addicted drinks...... they are really addictive!!!!

Adding to the mix of culinary offerings, popular Malaysian Celebrity Chefs Nik Michael Imranand Sherson Lian were present to share three special dishes each in Cooking Demos, followed by Meet-and-Greet sessions with fans.

Yours truly here was lucky to be able to catch MasterChef Malaysia 2011 finalist Chef Nik Michael Imran who made us  his  Kerabu ManggaChicken Kari Kapitan and Pandan Crème Brûlée  after a slight unavoidable delay..

Here are some pictures of Chef Nik Michael Imran cooking his Chicken Kari Kapitan...

His Pandan Crème Brûlée definitely surpassed my expectations... He made it with out local tepung pelita style recipe, but added gula melaka to burn at the top...

It has pandan leaves, santan in it among other ingredients...and the sugar top is made from gula melaka

To be absolutely honest, I am not a huge fan of tepung pelita thought I absolutely adore Crème Brûlée, so trying it out, I really was pleasantly surprised that I liked it!!!

Chef Nik Michael Imran making his Kerabu Mangga which seems simple but not so simple...

It is made using young mangoes, fish sauce, salt, sugar, dried shrimps, peanuts, onions, coriander....and oh dear... I can't remember the whole recipe... I am so sorry....

Verdict... the food does taste as good as it looks... obviously right, else he won't be a MasterChef Finalist... hahahah...

Ok, if I was younger or single, I would say how I wish I can look for a man who can cook for me like this, but I am an old married woman....so maybe I can say, how I wish I can look for a future son in law who can cook for me like this??? Hehehe....  (wishful thinking.....)

Anyway among the stalls was this Bakarlah stall and oh my gaaaawwwd, you really have to try their Australian Lamb or any of those BBQ bratwurst and all...

It is served on a bed of mashed potatoes and retailing for about RM15 and it is lip smacking good..... so very good...

Whatsapp them at 016 233 2467 or visit http://instagram.com/bakarlahbbq or Facebook

More noteworthy delights I tried out were this yummy beef lasagne.......which I got from the Luthfia Family stall...

Check out their Facebook

And oh ... looking for some sambal you can bring to work, bring for your travel and snack on??? Try this one!!!

It is yummy... It is spicy and just perfect to eat with rice or bread....and only cost RM15

Want to get it.... check out their Facebook
