After having been to the Sunway Pyramid several times, and seeing the Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe finally open, yours truly could not resist popping inside for a peek and a taste...
As you can tell, this place is the in thing or the happening place to be for fans of Sanrio or Hello Kitty, and on a weekday during office hours, it was still full....
For your info, the cafe is located near H&M and Caffe Bene, Lot OB3.F.6, Oasis Boulevard
I was in a little bit of a bind when I entered the cafe as it was tea time and they were only serving tea / coffee , cake and salad.
They were not yet accepting cards and I had only RM35 in my pocket.
However I was in thrall with the pretty, mostly pink theme and Hello Kitty bows decorations, with pretty flowers and lights....
After a few minutes wait, I was shown to my table...
The Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe here is double storey, there are sittings on the grounds floor as well as the first floor...
Being short of cash and on a low budget ... as I said, they do not accept debit or credit cards yet since they are still very newly opened...... I just ordered a Hello Kitty cookie....for RM9.50 and a cup of cappucino... RM15.50
There is the cookie.. admittedly I feel it is slightly pricey I guess but well....we are here for the theme and in many ways, indulging in Sanrio Hello Kitty has never been cheap..... LOL,
My cappucino came in a sweet Hello Kitty coffee cup and had the coffee art of Hello Kitty on it as well...
After snacking on it, I popped upstairs for a quick look...There's a cake and macaroon counter there... the macaroons are a little pricey about RM9 or so too... and have a picture of Hello Kitty or Kitty's bow on it...
There, a sitting area for a couple ..... the entire cafe is in pastels as expected.. and you enjoy relaxing piped music like the ones in a hotel..Kinda elegant I guess...
I loved the curtains and lighting... thought they were pretty and of course, portraits of Hello Kitty around as well as two 2 feet sized figurines...which is quite popular with the customers as many of these people want to take picture with these figurines...
The cashier counter and the top of the 'fireplace'... I find the place cosy... and it would definitely be a novelty for fans of Sanrio or Hello Kitty to visit this place...
Just wonder if they would have a mascot / Hello Kitty flitting around the place sometime... that would be really nice right...
I think there are other menu like burgers and such but I am not sure... Still waiting for the grand opening, and if I am lucky enough to be among the invited guests, I will definitely be sharing more ok.....
So now, you know where to go in Klang Valley for your Hello Kitty fix...
