Move for World Aids Day....

I was at NuSentral at an ungodly hour last Sunday. Naturally, not many people were around and I had a little bit of a challenge trying to find my way up to the SkyPark there....

Now why was I there?? Hmm... it was because Celebrity Fitness Malaysia gathered a few hundred Malaysians to raise awareness for AIDS during a three hour workout party in support of World AIDS Day 2015.

Being my first time up there at the SkyPark I was both half impressed and confused... because it was big but with a lot of glass shaped objects, probably to give natural light to the floor below...and grassy shapes too... And it was after walking all around the place where I found the venue...

It was at a wide open area... and it definitely was spacious for a function or two... even a wedding or so....

Since I was very early, I was among the very first to register and I could not help feeling mesmerized by the sea of purple goodie bags lined up..... see I am crazy enough to even take a picture of it and post it up... LOL

After an hour or so, the place began to fill up... and hey... look who was in the house... it was none other then popular actor... Fahrin Ahmad who is also the Celebrity Spokesperson for Malaysian AIDS Council...

The event began with some speeches as usual...

.... namely from Ryan Cheal, Vice President of Celebrity Fitness....

and also a speech by Fahrin Ahmad, the Celebrity Spokesperson for Malaysian AIDS Council...

Sigghhhh... what a girl's to do when there are two hunks on stage.... ogle for a moment and take some pictures... I guess... heheheh....

Anyway, on the stage is Ryan Cheal, the Vice President of Celebrity Fitness Malaysia was on stage here to present a cheque of RM15,000, the proceeds of the workout party to Fahrin Ahmad for the Malaysian AIDS Foundation's efforts in HIV prevention, treatment and  support programmes for the less priviledged

And the workout party begins... where participants including yours truly and some blogger friends there danced and kicked to a combination of the ever popular Zumba and two Les Mills programmes, SH'BAM and BODYCOMBAT.

SH'BAM is an aerobic dance based workout that takes participants through dance moves set toolder and new hit songs.

BODYCOMBAT  on the other hand draws inspiration from a mixture of high intensity martial arts such as Taekwondo, Karate, Boxing and Muay Thai to develop an energetic non-contact workout.

Do you know that there are more than 6,200 new infections of HIV a year, adding to the total of 100,000 Malaysians living with HIV. However, HIV and AIDS remain a very sensitive issue in Malaysia, and the social stigma surrounding this disease makes it  hard for patients suffering from this to reach out for the help they need....

By working with the Malaysian AIDS Foundation to organise Move for WAD, Celebrity Fitness Malaysia hope to empower patients and encourage healthy conversations around HIV and AIDS among the public, and ultimately creating a supportive community for all....

Participants at MOVE for WAD not only joined a worldwide movement to show solidity with those living with HIV and AIDS, but also gained a healthier lifestyle. The three different workout styles can help burn calories, provide core training and improve coordination while bringing great fun...

It was definitely a whole lot of fun and laughter for all those present as well as a good workout session...

MOVE for WAD was made possible with the support of NuSentral, Beans & Beans, L'Oreal Malaysia and 7UP Revive....
