Vibrant CNY Celebration for Shelter Home Children at eCurve

Festive season is a time when hotels, malls and other companies give back to society as well and a time for lots of CSR and most of the times, it is so heart warming seeing the smiles on the less privilege people in our society....won't you agree...

Anyway I was invited to the eCurve where 20 children with their 2 caretakers from the Shelter Home, Petaling Jaya were being treated to an entertaining and festive excursion organized by eCurve...

The children were given complimentary stylish haircuts when they arrived at the mall by the professional hairdressers at the S'Pro Hairdressing salon. The children were noted to be smiling and chattering away while admiring each other's new hairstyles as they excitably made their way to eCurve's CP Arcade to play a few games.

The children were then brought to eCurve's Centre Atrium where they happily settled into the very comfortable bean bags strewn there for them to settle in and enjoy the afternoon performance...

Azizul Hisham Ahmad, the Centre Manager of eCurve, said, " As we usher in the Year of the Monkey, we are delighted to celebrate the occasion with these kids from Shelter Home. Festive Seasons are a time when family and friends get together, and it has been our pleasure to ensure that our young guests have their share of that joy. We are glad that they had a great time today, and hope they will go home with fond memories of their outing her at eCurve."

He then  launched the eCurve's Chinese New Year event....by tugging hard at the red ribbon and releasing two celebratory scrolls.

The Kwong Ngai lion dance troupe then put on a thrilling acrobatic show there at the Centre Atrium, teasing the children and eliciting giggles from them as the mischievous lion tries to steal their bean bags and 'eat' them up... The children were definitely awestruck as the lion leap from one pole to another effortlessly and even jumped off the poles with a somersault..

The lion dance is truly a very fascinating performance. It is performed  in fast acrobatic movements such as jumping up and down, as well as on high poles, by those who practice martial arts. The lion dance gear (especially the head) is quite heavy.

The dance plot usually include moving the lion through obstacles (up high poles in this case) towards the destination called the Qing (means "green" in Chinese), then an action called Cai Qing (means "picking the green").

The Qing is represented by symbolic items like ang pows, mandarin oranges,or pomelos with lettuces. This is something to do with symbolizing new beginnings with lots of prosperity and good luck...and given then to the manager or owner of the venue.

The children from the Shelter Home were then given Chinese New Year goodie bags and an Ang Pow packet each from eCurve.

The caretaker of the home was given a hamper by Azizul Hisham Ahmad.

Then the children were treated to the Vibrant Vibes Musical Dance Performance by eCurve's dancers. It certainly was a colourful and vibrant performance...

The outing concluded with a yummy dinner at Pelicana Chicken, a Korean eatery that offers authentic gourmet fried chicken and other delicious dishes that got the children tucking in with relish...

For your information, the eCurve's Chinese New Year campaign is ongoing from now up until February 9 2016. There will be vibrant dance performances and of course that exciting not to be missed LIVE acrobatic lion dance performances every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Do not miss meeting the God of Properity who will also be strolling the mall distributing candies and extending festive greetings to shoppers at the eCurve.

There are various promotions and offers that await you at the Centre Atrium, ranging from festive apparels to Chinese New Year decorations and goodies ...

And shoppers who spend RM150 or above in a maximum of two receipts can redeem a lovely Candy Canister and Ang Pow packets from eCurve. The redemptions are subjected to terms and conditions, and only while stocks last....

  16. Star Health Insurance does provide an easy claim form for their insured members to get their bills for treatments and medical expenses, Star health insurance claim form and there are around 5400 hospitals that do accept the cashless treatment under Star Health Insurance claim, but in many cases due to emergency, the patient guardians are asked to make the bill payments. This can be reimbursed using the Star Health Insurance Claim with attaching the valid hospital bills and discharge summary, and the claim process will not be that hard, as most of the hospitals are agreed under Star Health Insurance and the claim process will not stop you at any form.
