An amazing stay at the HOTEL PERDANA KOTA BHARU

If you have been a friend of mine on my facebook or a follower on my Instagram, you would already know about this lovely hotel. After all, I have posted quite a bit about it in the past few days, after being invited there by both Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu and Destination Malaysia magazine by TM Info-Media...

This lovely new landmark of Kota Bharu, Kelantan is none other then the Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu. It is situated in a great location, smacked right in the heart of the city centre in a commercial district and walking distance to Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV where major events happen!!!

Just 15 minutes’ drive from the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport Kota Bharu, this five star hotel and 100% Halal hotel is conveniently accessible to government offices, shopping areas, hospitals and local attractions.  Yes, you heard me right, Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu is one of the very few hotels that is fully Halal, not just one restaurant or so but the whole hotel is deemed Halal by JAKIM.

When I was headed there to the hotel and Kelantan, I did not quite know what to expect, I was a little fearful with all the rules and regulations the state Government had come up with, and besides, there are those rumours about the Hudud law being in place or so, but to my surprise it was just unfounded!!!

We were just welcomed into the hotel from the moment we stepped down from the van that had shuttled us from the airport with lots of smiles by cheerful staff. Oh gosh... I seriously had never met an army of so many cheerful and friendly staff personnel before in any other hotels...

And stepping into the hotel was just breathtaking... the lobby was beautiful, modern and spacious with lots of sitting area and there were gorgeous paintings exhibited there..

And what caught our eyes was these.. Numerous sitting area had been arranged similarly in like a dozen small "sitting rooms" and when you take a look through the open "window" you can see this amazing "mirror effect" kind of view which is just amazing...

We could not help ourselves taking photos here, as you can see....

Peekabooo.... guess which room I am at.....

The "sitting rooms" look like this, in case you are wondering.. and they are all exactly the same copy of this....on one side of the room....

And the pool..... like most people in a five star hotel, the pool is definitely of great interest to me... and Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu's lovely swimming pool does once again exceed my expectation... I was expecting a normal swimming pool not this gorgeous looking and tempting pool....

The back of the pool is about 1.2 metres deep and for adults or better kid swimmers... while little kiddies can enjoy their dip in the pool in front , which is the shallow part of the pool.

The pool is just outside the Cerana Coffee House so you can also choose to have your meals at the pool side... if you like....(we definitely did!!!!)

A little bit about the hotel.....it’s architecture strongly keeps rich Malay heritage alive with unique carvings which can be found on the hotel exterior  and gorgeous wooden carvings inside the hotel on walls, doors and such....

This beautiful hotel is also very much like an art gallery as you can find beautiful hand-painted drawings by local artists along the corridors, inside the rooms, outside the ballroom and function rooms and practically everywhere... in the building.

The artwork found here is pretty considerable from hand-painted masterpieces,  batik paintings,
acrylic artpieces, silver carvings, etcetera, etcetera....  and if you like it, you can purchase some of it, at least the one on display in the lobby...

Let's take a little tour around the hotel..... and check out the rooms and suites..

This is a Premier room with a Queen bed ...

As we went in from one room to another, exclamations of amazement in excitement can be heard from the group with sighs of "wow" and "wah" peppering our conversations and well, little wonder as the rooms definitely also surpassed most of our expectations... hahaha

This is a Premier room with Twin beds... It is of course, similar in other aspects to the Premier room above..., other then the choice of one Queen bed or Twin beds....

This one would be the Deluxe Premier room (shown below)

This spacious Deluxe Premier room would be a dream come true  for families. The extra space is simply ideal for families and allows you to relax in comfort.

The view from the window is also simply breathtaking as it overlooks the pool....

This is a similar type room except that there are two twin beds in it.... I think the decor is just so refreshing...

And there is also a few "Accessible" rooms dedicated  for the infirmed or the handicapped
and in a wheelchair which is pretty great as not many hotels has this.  The toilet is lowered and there are rails and also a seat under the shower for their comfort and easy accessibility.

The interior decoration as you can see combines a touch of modern luxury in a classic décor, in both  wings(the Classic Wing and the Premier Wing)  offering 272 well-appointed guest rooms & suites.

Amazingly detailed wood carving on some doors...

Silver artpieces .. yes, these are made from real silver....

This Perdana Executive room  on the Executive wing has super  comfy beds with plush pillows ...

Or better still, indulge yourself and retreat to the 113 square metres Presidential Suite that offers amazing views of  Kota Bharu. The suite is stylishly furnished with masterpiece artwork and creative vases that will definitely make you wish you can bring it home with you....

The elegant master bedroom has a comfortable  king size bed and the  second bedroom comes with with twin beds.

Each room has attached bathroom and a powder room in the living area complete with Chopard designer bathroom amenities. The suite is furnished with a living room area, dining table, a kitchenette, equipped with fridge, microwave, plates, cutleries and coffee making facilities.

The Presidential Suite here comes with aBUSINESS desk, data port, Complimentary Internet Access, 40 inch LCD TV, IDD telephone, In-room electronic safe, iron & ironing board , laundry basket, plush bathrobes, bedroom slippers , padded hangers and complimentary 2 bottles of mineral water.

Then naturally, our tour of the hotel ended with the most amazing room of all, the Royal Suite which is used normally for Royalty, dignitaries and VIPs only...

Stepping into this suite was almost felt like stepping into a palace...Everyone was in awe. The room had a golden yellow carpet and was huge...

If we thought the Presidential Suite was amazing, this suite definitely trumped the Presidential Suite in size and deco. There are also two rooms here at the Royal Suite, one with the King Sized bed and the other with Twin beds... it is very much similar to the Presidential suite except that it is bigger and brighter... hehehe....

And taadaa... it comes with a jacuzzi as well... as you can see here yours truly is pretending to imagine herself immersed in bubbles with Kak Hanim here as my attendant but unfortunately, that is as far as I can go.. as the jacuzzi was dry and sighh.. obviously I am still in my clothes...

Here again, yours truly trying to pretend she is a VIP in the Royal Suite....huhuhu... so hmm... my daughters... can you hurry up and marry some member of the Royalty or some very important person please... hahahah.....
