#THE21DAYMISSION , a health and fitness program to help change your life!

Yours truly was at the Glasshouse at Seputeh to learn more and to start participating in #THE21DAYMISSION....

Hmmm... 21 day mission??? What could that be....  Let me see... some researchers said that well,  it takes 21 days to create a new habit or change an old one for a lifetime and so that is what we are about to ambark on with the hope of creating a brand new healthier habit.....

Yeah, most of us know it is not easy to start a new habit or change an old one, but well, if you want to be a better person - more healthier, slimmer, more positive, you will give it a shot....and that is just what I am gonna do.....

Mission Foods Malaysia, the world’s largest flatbread producer and makers of the well-known and loved Mission Wraps, has brought together Fitness Guru, Dave Nuku and petite Celebrity Nutritionist, Alexandra Prabaharan to create a thrilling but simple to follow 21-Day programme called #The21DayMission... are you still with me??

“This 21-Day initiative solidifies a strategic pillar for the brand, which is to continue driving awareness on the importance of healthy eating and living in the community. With the launch of the 21-Day Mission, we feel we can make a difference in people’s lives by making it easier for them to start this journey and encouraging them to start thinking about eating better, getting fitter and feeling great about themselves,” Randall Tan, Brand Manager, South Asia, Gruma Singapore Pte Ltd  says....

Alexandra Prabaharan, a renowned nutritionist, has created a delicious meal plan covering breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes which will complement the fitness regime.

All the recipes are designed to be simple to prepare as they use easy-to-find ingredients and deliciously versatile Mission Foods products including Wraps, Pita, Naan and Tortilla Chips.

The 21-Day Mission will have daily fitness and recipe videos that will be sent to subscribers. So go subscribe now via Mission Foods Malaysia Facebook site.

Once subscribed, followers are sent links to the videos and meal plans in advance to be able to prepare for their 21-Day Mission, which is set to go live on 9th May 2016.

And the best part??? Subscription is FREE!!! No need to pay!!!!

Handsome New Zealander fitness guru, Dave Nuku is a certified personal trainer and international presenter on health and fitness issues and if you think he sounds familiar, yes, he is one of the main trainers on the The Biggest Loser Asia TV series for the Blue team.

And pssst..... did you know he is also a personal trainer to international celebrities... and none other then the cast and crew of the Lord of the Rings trilogy back in his hometown of Wellington, New Zealand!!!

He is also the co-founder of the hugely popular FIRE STATION gym, and has dedicated his life to helping people achieve their goals and transform their lives through achieving a healthier body, mind and spirit.

He and his lovely trainer Stephanie demonstrated to us some easy steps of what would be included in #THE21DAYMISSION

This initiative comes at a perfect time as it coincides with World Health Month in April where there’s worldwide interest in leading better, healthier lifestyles.

Malaysia as you might know is said to be Asia’s most overweight country with 17.7% of the population considered obese according to a national health and morbidity survey conducted in 2015.

This campaign targets introducing and educating the general public that leading a healthy, active lifestyle is really quite simple as long as you have the correct meal plan and guidance.

I have some GREAT news!!! Mission Foods is giving away the chance to win a fully paid “21-Day Mission pack” to 12 lucky winners where they receive three meals delivered daily and full access to Fire Station, to train with Dave Nuku and his team of trainers.

The meals are prepared and delivered according to Alexandra’s recipes by Huios Meal Prep, whose ethos is to provide healthy, freshly-prepared meals. Each pack is worth over RM5,000.

Those needing that extra helping hand can look out for the contest running on Mission Foods Malaysia Facebook and Instagram pages and on the Men’s Health and Women’s Health magazines and portals, from April 17 – 30.

Winners will be announced on the first week of May after which they will be able to embark on their journey towards becoming stronger, fitter and healthier.

And well, to start you off, here are a couple of easy recipes Alexandra has put together which only take less then 5 minutes to prepare!!!

Beat up two eggs, add some salt and pepper to taste...

Add some chopped coriander....

...mix it up...

Put some oil in the pan...

Cook the egg mixture as you would a scramble egg...

Add some chopped avocado into the egg..

Put it on a whole meal Mission wrap...

Put some cheddar cheese on it....

Wrap it up nicely, and cut it into half and serve...

Easy peasy right... and it is delicious, nutritious and nice looking too!!

For the second recipe, just take a can of tuna in water....

Add some chopped onions in, a teaspoon of fish sauce and pepper

Then cut some chilli padi/ bird eye chilli for extra spice/umph but if you can't eat spicy, then skip this....

Lay some rocket salad on an original wrap...

And put the tuna mixture on the wrap, wrap it up and serve!!!

Happy trying.....!!!!
