Pavilion KL raises RM 500 k for Chinese New Year CSR

Pavilion KL has managed to successfully raise RM500,000 through its first CSR initiative , known as “Charity at Heart” in conjunction with the recently over Chinese New Year celebrations  and the money will be used for its corporate social responsibility programmes in 2017.

The announcement was made during a celebration held to mark the Pavilion KL’s ninth anniversary at the lavish centre court underneath the gigantic phoenix specially constructed for Chinese New Year..

This was done through the sale of 650 pieces of limited-edition “Dance of the Prosperity Rooster” decorative glass plates.


The ceremony kick started with a very heart felt video -  ‘Giving is the Best Communication’ which definitely touched many people’s hearts..

A total of 20 homes were selected to be the beneficiaries in this initiative, with each home receiving RM5,000. An additional amount was also donated to Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif in support of their ‘Searching for the Star’ program…the remaining amount raised will be donated to various initiatives and special causes throughout the year…

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed to our Charity at Heart this year,” said Pavilion KL deputy chairman Puan Sri Cindy Lim.

“We want to show our appreciation to those who work hard to operate charity homes, as their contribution is so big. We only play a small part in helping them, and that is why I think it’s important for us to donate to them.”

The mall also supported Epal Training Centre, where 1,000 “happy rooster” door-stoppers made by single mothers and handicapped individuals were  purchased by Pavilion KL with the material used personally handpicked by Puan Sri Cindy Lim for media and guests throughout the campaign

Guests attending the event were then entertained to a drum medley performance by the passionate Pavilion KL management team and guests were wowed again when a tall specially designed rainbow cake made an appearance to mark Pavilion KL’s 9th birthday celebration….

To date, Pavilion KL has raised a grand total of over RM3million for charity donations, pledges from festival fund raising, disaster relief funds and corporate donations… not bad huh……
