GIMME GIMME ABBA!!!!!

Almost everyone has at least one favorite ABBA song.. and it is because that ABBA is such a popular group with just too many catchy songs... Did you know ABBA comes from the initials of the first names of the members of the group: Agnetha Faltskog, Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad and was formed back in Stockholm in 1972. What makes ABBA so popular is because of the feeling of innocence and catchy pop lyrics many people can relate to....

And who can resist or not imagine it themselves....."You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen, Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine, You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life, See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen"

I am not quite someone who like dancing but yet when I hear ABBA's songs like this, I really feel like swaying and moving to the beat...

Amyway, if you are a fan of ABBA's songs, you will be pleased to know that Gimme Gimme ABBA featuring Gimme Gimme Girls is set to perform LIVE in Kuala Lumpur from 17th Mat to 20th May 2016!!!  Kate and Lucy, two highly acclaimed and established West End performers and session singers who have had many years of experience performing at the highest level...

Be prepared to be well entertained with the greatest hits, which will include Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Voulez-Vous, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, Take a Chance on Me, Fernando and many more. Did you know that Gimme Gimme ABBA has been seen by more than a million spectators in all corners of the globe, including London, Monte Carlo, Canada, Beirut, Cuba, Paris and the USA, regularly performing to audiences of 15,000+ at festivals??!! Yeah... they are that good...and I am all excited and can't wait to watch the show!!

There will also be an upcoming Royal Charity Gala Concert, a charitable performance organized by HOMME Productions and  Seri Panglima Sdn Bhd in support of Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyah, an organization named after the founder and the first patron, Almarhum Tuanku Sultanah Hajjah Bahiyah Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

Incorporated on 20th August 1996, YSB is governed by a Board of Trustees and headed by YTM Tunku Panglima Besar Kedah Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz binti Tuanku Abdul Halim  Mu'adzam Shah as the chairman.

YSB plays the role of being the agent of change in community work through education, community development, health, youth and adults as well as training initiatives...

See you there ..... and for now... let me treat you to my slightly less popular but my favourite ABBA song.....

"Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile
I watch her go with a surge of that well known sadness
And I have to sit down for a while
The feeling that I'm losing her forever
And without really entering her world
I'm glad whenever I can share her laughter
That funny little girl

Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see what's in her mind
Each time I think I'm close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time "

And that, is one of my favorite Abba songs that I (and I am sure many other parents) can so really relate to being a parent...and it was also my favorite song and scene when I watched the musical Mammamia, between Meryl Streep's character and Amanda Siegfried's character...... I am not sure if the Gimme Gimme girls are going to perform it or not, it will be great if they do, but if not, the rest of Abba's songs are just as catchy and amazing...
