Remedy for Tooth Sensitivity

I love my ice cream and coffee at times... However, there are times the taste of ice cream or a sip of hot coffee can be a painful experience... Have you ever encounter this? If so, you probably have sensitive teeth just like me.

Tooth sensitivity can affect one or more of out teeth. It can be anything from getting a mild twinge to having severe discomfort that can continue for several hours...

Why does this happen.... It is caused by the movement of fluid within tiny tubes located in the dentin (the layer of tissue found beneath the hard enamel that contains the inner pulp), which results in nerve irritation. When the hard enamel of our teeth is worn down or gums have receded, causing the tiny tube surfaces to be exposed, pain can be caused by eating or drinking foods or hot or cold beverages, touching your teeth, or exposing them to cold air.

This can even affect or change your eating, drinking, and breathing habits. The excessive consumption of acid-containing foods and beverages, such as citrus juices and fruits and soft drinks are some of the culprits for tooth sensitivity.

How do I counter my sensitive teeth?? If you need relief from tooth sensitivity, Sensodyne offers a full range of sensitive teeth toothpastes and other oral care products for sensitivity.

It is one of the best toothpaste for lasting protection from tooth sensitivity is one specially formulated to help protect against sensitivity. Dentists recommend Sensodyne and having used it, I am a huge fan of Sensodyne... Not many other toothpaste or oral care products can come close to doing what Sensodyne does for my teeth...

Anyway, yours truly here was over at the Pool Bar & Grill @8 , Le Meridien KL where Sensodyne unveiled a whole new breakthrough product......

We were of course tempted and treated to macaroon ice creams in a bid to challenge our teeth to see how sensitive our teeth were... fortunately, with frequent use of Sensodyne over the past months/years, my teeth withstood this challenge and I enjoyed my macaroon ice cream without wincing...

Ok, so, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK), which happens to be one of the world's leading research-based healthcare company launched its new Sensodyne mouthwash that offers 24-hour protection against tooth sensitivity. This is an effort to provide consumers with a complete oral care regime and continue its dedicated mission to tackle Malaysia's oral health issues with the hope of elevating Malaysians oral health standards....which is in line with GSK Consumer Healthcare's mission which is to help more people around the world to do more, feel better and live longer...

"Tooth sensitivity is a common dental problem many people experience. Almost 50% of sensitive sufferers adopt a regime care and this means that almost 1.38 million Malaysian adults are advance oral care regime users...

With the increasing incidences of sensitive tooth sufferers in Malaysia, it is timely to launch Sensodyne Mouthwash. The new Sensodyne Mouthwash provides lasting freshening effect, and flouride to strenghten teeth and protect against decay, " Stacy Wallace, General Manager of GSK Consumer Healthcare Malaysia & Brunei said...

Dr Army Empol, Consultant in Restorative Dentistry also at the launch said, " Sensitive teeth leads to an unpleasant sensation and when prolonged, can affect your daily life. Avoiding your favourite foods that are cold, sweet and hot does not help you break free from the zingy sensation in your teeth. It is the regular  daily advance oral regime for sensitive teeth that maintains the sensitivity protection."

For good oral health and long-lasting fresh breath, it is important to adopt advanced oral care regime to complete our daily routine that includes brushing, flossing and gargling using mouthwash. Sensodyne plays and integral role not only in your enjoyment of everyday life but also in your overall oral health.

The Sensodyne Mouthwash is the first mouthwash in Malaysia that offers long lasting protection  against tooth sensitivity . It provides 24 hours of ongoing protection for sensitive teeth when used twice daily after brushing your teeth!!! This is thanks to the ingredients found inside the mouthwash that works inside your tooth to build a soothing and long-lasting protection around your nerves...

The mouthwash flouride formula also strengthens our teeth and the mint flavour leaves our breath fresh and clean so that we can stay confident when talking to people....

The new Sensodyne mouth was is alcohol free , thus making it halal; a certified product for all consumers to enjoy. You can choose from between the Extra Fresh option which is spicy floral with a hint of vanilla or the Cool Mint option which is a burst of peppermint, menthol and green tea....

The Sensodyne Mouthwash comes in two sizes... 500ml and 250ml... errrmmm... price?? RM18.54 for the 500ml and RM11.12 for the 250ml as sold as at Watsons
