A Scrumptious Evening with Chakri Palace........

Last week, yours truly was at the Chakri Palace Pavilion for some pampering and indulgence thanks to their kind invitation... We were treated to a most scrumptious dinner, one of the best, in my opinion, and yes, I may be biased because I can never resist good Thai food and in my personal opinion, Chakri Palace serves some of the best Thai food around...

This was m very first time in Chakri Palace Pavilion, as most of the time I always visited Chakri Palace in KLCC.. The outlet here in Pavilion is smaller then the outlet in KLCC.

It would be ideal for a cosy and intimate dinner for two or a quiet and good dinner with your family and friends...

Exclusively for us that night, Chakri Palace served up the best of their menu buffet style... and dang was it hard to resist... #fatdieme

Address : Lot C4.06.01, Level 4, Connection Pavilion KL, Jalan Bukit Bintang

Telephone : 03-2143 1141

My daughter and some blogger friends indulged in the famous Mieang Kam (RM24.90 for a normal portion), a delicacy the Thai people enjoyed.. consisting of betelnut/ kadok leaves/ sireh with chopped garlic, lime, peanuts, toasted nuts, onions, birds eye chilli and some sweet and sour kind of sauce.....it was a burst of flavors in your mouth... bitter, crunchy, spicy, sweet, pungent, sour and salty.....

And who can resist the Thai Mango Salad /Yam Ma Moung (RM21.90 for normal portion) with any Thai meal...

Pineapple Fried Rice (Khow Ob Sapparod) (RM22.90 for Standard Size) is lovely and fragrant fried rice served with shrimps or vegetarian with generous bits of pineapple in it..

Stir fried squid in black sauce and chilli......

The Signature Deep Fried Prawns / Gung Mae Num Phad Nui are nicely done deep fried prawns served with a choice of butter egg sauce, fragrant and yummy to taste.....

Prawn Crackers for those who love to add crunch into their food...

The Thai Vegetarian Spring Roll /Por Pia Savoey (RM20.90 for Standard portion) comes with fresh vegetables cooked and packed and rolled in crispy fried popiah skin.... Lovely when dipped into the Thai Chilli Sauce...

The Traditional Green Curry Chicken /Gaeng Kaew Wan Gai (RM29.90 for normal portion) is to die for... this is definitely one of the best tasting Green Curry around and my daughter could not stop eating it also. The first time I asked her to try she said no... and when she started here, she said it is so yummy.....and went back shamelessly for a second and third helping, like her mom....

Chakri Tom Yam Talay (RM15.90) is something you really have to try...Chakri’s rendition of the famous sour and spicy lemongrass soup served in a clear or red soup base, both which are just as good but I prefer the red soup with seafood.....

Fresh Fruit Platter  /Pon Laa Mai Kap Ma Moung is the  perfect and healthy ending for your meal....

Chakri Red Ruby Water Chestnut / Ai Tim Tab Tim Krob (RM18.90) is one of the desserts I can not say no to... this homemade red ruby water chestnut, sago and jackfruit served with icy coconut milk is to die for....

Traditional Steamed Sweet Tapioca / Mun Cheum is steamed sweet tapioca, covered in salted coconut milk... and nice.. though I am not such a fan of tapioca...

Some Thai jelly... which is just fragrant and soothing to eat after a nice spicy meal...

Fans of Thai Mango with Sticky Rice/ Khow Neow Ma Moung will find it hard to say no to these fresh mango served with sticky rice, covered in salted coconut milk.......

And that was my unforgettable and scrumptious dinner at the Chakri Palace in Pavilion before we were treated to watch Star Trek at GSC Pavilion....

Thank you to Chakri Palace for that awesome treat.....
