1. A healthy diet which include wholegrain cereals, legumes, fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts in your diet and lower your risk of heart disease. Cut down on sugar, salt and processed food…. Eat more oily fish like tuna, sardines or salmon that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and will boost your good cholesterol. Switch from milk chocolate to dark chocolate which is good for your heart...

3. Quit smoking now. You might not know if, but twelve months after quitting, your increased risk of dying from heart disease will be half that of a continuing smoker. And another amazing point would be can you imagine if you just stop smoking, you would have saved a staggering RM4350 for a year without cigarettes (I am just estimating using RM12 per box / per day – a box of ciggies cost more than RM15 nowadays!!!)
