OPPO Wows with Photographs Taken with F1s’ 13MP Rear Camera

OPPO, recently partnered with Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival (KLPF) to showcase their special exhibition “The Nature of Beauty World”, which featured exquisite photographs taken by renowned professional photographers and young photography enthusiasts from different universities using the rear camera of the newly launched OPPO F1s.

Yours truly attended the Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival (KLPF), held recently from the 7th to 9th October 2016, where a total of 40 photographs taken with the OPPO F1s by renowned photographers Kim Teoh, Jessica Chan, Wong Kim Kiat, Camel King (Kong Yuk Loong) and Ashraf Saharudin; Malaysian personalities, Nora Danish and Ayda Jebat; as well as university students were featured. 



One of the photograph being taken with OPPO F1s’ rear camera in Expert mode, HDR mode and Ultra HD mode has even been printed into a 2m x 1.2m size photograph to showcase F1s’ professional image quality.

Earlier in September, OPPO has chosen 10 top students from 4 universities (UCSI University, INTI International University, Dasein Academy of Art and The One Academy) to participate in the exclusive camera phone workshop and 1-day outdoor shooting in Malacca with renowned professional photographers. Photographs being taken by students using OPPO F1s during the trip have been submitted for the contest. The winner of the contest, Joseph Chong Jin Darb from UCSI University attended the opening of the exhibition and has been awarded with an OPPO F1s and cash award to further his journey in photography.

There was an exclusive workshop for OPPO fans and photography enthusiasts that was held in conjunction with the exhibition with tips from renowned professional photographers, Jessica Chan and Kevin Ng.  


Jessica and Kevin Ng shared techniques and insights on taking professional level photographs using advanced smartphones like the OPPO F1s which I picked up a couple of tricks....

The OPPO F1s’ features a 13MP rear camera with a 1/3-inch back-illuminated sensor and f/2.2 aperture, for high light sensitivity and dynamic range. With these features and PDAF, the F1s seamlessly captures crisp, clear, vivid shots.  

Along with its standout camera features, the F1s also spots a lightning-fast fingerprint reader, a large 3075mAh battery, 32GB ROM, and a triple-slot card tray that offers dual-SIM capability and expandable memory.


Priced at RM 1,198, the F1s comes in two colors: Gold and Rose Gold. F1s is now available at all OPPO sales point nationwide.

  1. those photos really look so good and professional! i wouldn't have thought it's taken on a smartphone camera! but i also wonder how much post-editing they've done? anyhow, it seems like OPPO is a good phone to buy if you're always taking photos using your phone. I might consider it, since samsung (my favourite) has been exploding these days.

  3. The pictures are so lovely! I guess it also depends on the skill of the photographer as well. But the results were really amazing with Oppo's camera. I have learned that their phones really produce stunning photos. Worth a try!

  4. Those photos are really stunning. Oppo's camera is really powerful. I think it's direct and biggest competition is Huawei's P9? But, not so sure about that. The students who captured those photos are really super talented.
