Yours truly was at the Food Republic outlet at Pavilion, KL recently to check out three food stalls. The first food stall is the Xian Wei Fish Village

They serve a myriad of fresh seafood noodles and so on.

Here are the menu, and prices....

Our dishes which was brought out to us...

Superior fish garoupa head noodles- RM10.90

This was pretty tasty, and though the fishball did look kind of blue grey in colour, it was hand made and very fresh.. the soup came across as not too salty and taste just about right....

Steam fish per pax set- RM18.90

This came in a package of a steam fish, probably garoupa, which tasted just lovely with fish being well steamed until it's tender, fresh and just the right flavour, a small plate of choy pak sum and a small bowl of soup with their home made fresh fishballs....and of course, a bowl of rice...Ideal for one or two persons...

Ginger onion fish garoupa fillet noodle- RM12.90

This was lovely. The fish fillet was generously strewn around and I liked the taste. It is exactly like the Cantonese Koay Teow with additional ginger and of course, the yummy fish....

The second food stall we were reviewing was the Seafood Pot.

Apparently in this food stall, you can actually order your favorite choice of seafood and choose to have it cooked in a porridge, in clear soup, tom yam or with curry...with noodles of your choice..

However , they also served Laksa and Pan Mee.... which were what we were given to review...

Pan Mee Soup- RM9

The Pan Mee was ok, being one of the few pork free and lard free Pan Mee around KL/Selangor. And I did kind of enjoy it...

Assam Laksa- RM9

The Assam Laksa was just a little too salty for my palate. but I was surprised by the generous chunks of fish that was served with the Assam Laksa - well, in most places, the fishes are all in tiny bits you cannot even bite into them...

Here are a couple of my blogger friends, Fatin and Feeq  trying out the Assam Laksa and the Pan Mee....

The third food stall we checked out was the Ayam Penyet stall...

As you can see in the menu, they serve a variety of "penyet" as well as noodle soup and so on

We got to feast our tastebuds on three dishes....

Ayam Penyet set- RM13.40

I have always loved Ayam Penyet and this was lovely. The accompanying Sambal was just spicy until I start sniffing halfway through my meal but it was just worth it and I just loved it.... The meal comes with rice and some saffron soup..

Bawal Penyet set- RM13.90

The Bawal Penyet set came with a deep fried pomfret and clear soup, as opposed to the saffron tasting soup for the Ayam sets....and it is just as nice....

Ayam bakar set- RM13.70

The ayam bakar set is different from the ayam penyet, as this chicken is roasted, but in it's unique way, it is just as nice.. with a hint of sweet soya sauce seasoning and served with white rice and a bowl of saffron soup.... again... the sambal is to die for or is it in my case, to sniffle or get your tongue slightly tortured over.... hehehe....

For refreshments, and desserts, we had some lovely fruit juice....

 Orange Juice- RM6.80
 Apple Juice- RM6.80
 Starfruit Juice- RM5.50
 Watermelon Juice- RM5.50

These are all freshly squeezed /juices with minimal ice and sugar....

Ice Kacang- RM5.50

The Ice Kacang was nice with a generous topping of selasih on top....

Strawberry Ice Floss- RM8.90

This Strawberry Ice Floss is indeed as yummy as it looks... and it comes with little fruit flavoured pearls that actually pops in your mouth.....I absolutely give two thumbs up for this....

Be sure to go check it out at the Food Republic in Pavilion KL... Thank you Food Republic for having me and my friends for your food review....
