Fans of Malaysia’s Queen of Jazz, Dato’ Sheila Majid will be
pleased to learn that the long awaited album, ‘Boneka’ is now released….
It has been a long wait, a very long 13 years since Dato’
Sheila last released her full studio album, ‘Cinta Kita’ back in 2004.. but
well at last Dato’ Sheila’s 8th album is finally released
It took Dato’ Sheila 3 years to compile the right material
before meeting up with well-known Indonesian composer and guitarist, Tohpati,
last year….
Dato’ Sheila initially wanted to release only 5 new songs
but working with Tohpati made her change her mind and eventually there were 10
songs in the album…
The album was recorded in Indonesia and also in Malaysia,
and named ‘Boneka’, which actually has its own meaning and significance to Dato’
Sheila.
The ever lovely Dato' Sheila told us that ‘Boneka’ is symbolic to her being a
performer over the past 32 years, where she showed her audiences a different
and more glamourous side of her when she was on stage, and belonged to them
when she was performing…
But in reality, Dato’ Sheila is actually a low-profile
individual who happens to be in a high-profile industry…
The lyrics to ‘Boneka’ were produced by Irwan Simantunjak,
while the music was worked on by Kevin Chua
The album has 10 songs most which have gone through Tohpati’s
magic touch, as well as Azman Abu Hassan, Omar K and an English song titled, ‘My
All’ which was produced by Malaysian singer Najwa Mahiaddin….
‘Boneka’ is released by Universal Music Malaysia …. And ….well,

August with what promises to be an amazing concert… ‘ Sheila Majid – The Concert
Kuala Lumpur 2017’ guaranteed to captivate her audeiences with her soothing
vocals, catchy lyrics and moving melodies and this will all be happening on the
5 August 2017..
This concert will be organized by IME Malaysia, produced by
More Entertainment and supported by the artiste management Magada Entertainment…
