The Antabax personal care range is familiar to Malaysians for its shower cream, hand wash and bar soap. The brand received the award under the packaging/graphics category. The Lam Soon Edible Oils Packaging Team developed the packaging.
The brand has expanded its product offering beyond the antibacterial shower range, into medicated talcum powder, hand sanitizer gel and spray, as well as antibacterial wipes to meet the various demand of the consumers.
A first time winner, the Antabax packaging was cited for demonstrating quality design that combined cutting-edge form, function, usability and aesthetics.
Now in its 64thyear, the GOOD DESIGN™ award is the oldest and the most prestigious award program organized worldwide, and honors the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence.
GOOD DESIGN is referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of industrial design. It is presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design in conjunction with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. It dates back to 1950 and is now one of the world’s largest and most distinguished design competitions. The program honors visionary and innovative product concepts, invention and originality, and recognizes designers for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered ordinary product and consumer design in categories ranging from personal care to protective equipment, appliances to automobiles and from electronics to medical devices.
