Five Things to do in Langkawi, Malaysia with Kids

As parents, we always want our kids to experience everything they can.

For us, that means taking trips to places with culture and history. But where do you go when you’ve been to both
coasts, have been all around L.A. and San Fran, and have already done all the things to do in
New York? You go out of the country!

If you are looking for a destination that offers both culture and breathtaking scenic views, consider taking your next family vacation to Langkawi, a small island in Malaysia.

The beauty is unmatched anywhere in the world, and you’d be surprised to find that there are lots of ways to keep kids, and kids at heart entertained and captivated for days on end.

Here are five things you can do with your family on your next vacation to Langkawi, Malaysia!

1. Langkawi Skybridge

Your family can enjoy incredible views from atop this skybridge that is suspended over a mountainous range.

It is exactly as it sounds: a bridge in the sky. Imagine looking down to see the top of a mountain while walking through the sky: incredible.

The winding bridge offers panoramic views and is the world’s largest curved bridge.

2. Art in Paradise

Does art imitate life or does life imitate art? Find out at Malaysia’s outdoor art gallery.

Kids can run throughout the gallery taking in everything it has to offer: beautiful paintings and sculptures that make you smile and think about the beautiful things in life.

It is the largest 3D art museum in Malaysia and offers over 20,000 square feet of imagery and art.

3. Mangrove Tour

When you are ready for a quieter afternoon, consider taking a Mangrove boat tour. Long, lazy rivers filled with wildlife and lagoons to peek into, a tour of Mangrove is the perfect
way to spend the day.

Travelers can even add a tour of a bat cave that is popular
amongst tourists. The kids will appreciate the boat time and parents will appreciate the chance to relax and enjoy the scenes around them.

4. Cenang Beach

If there is one thing Malaysia is known for, it’s the beautiful white sand beaches that line the coasts. Sprinkled with hotels and tons of people, the hustle and bustle is alive and
well at Cenang Beach.

Kids will love playing in the warm waters and building sand castles in the white sand. With plenty of amenities and services located along the beach, there is lots of
choice for snacks and meals, drinks and shopping.

5. Underwater World Aquarium

When you kids are tired of being in the sun, or if the rain starts coming down, make your way to an aquarium. The Underwater World aquarium located in Langkawi is a popular tourist destination.

Get ready to see penguins, plenty of fish and seals as you stroll along the aquarium. And don’t forget to check out the underwater tunnel, which is definitely the highlight of the entire aquarium. The kids will love feeling like they are swimming with the fish!

Plan your next family vacation to Langkawi in exotic Malaysia and experience some of Asia’s most amazing culture, food, sights and people. If you are interested in shopping for local goods, you can do some island hopping by buying passes for local charter boats that go from island to island.

There is something for everyone in Malaysia!
