Being a mom and worrying about your kids...

Being a mom is never easy. A mother's priority is ensuring family's well being, especially the well being and health of her little ones. As a mom of three and step mom to two others, my life has been a roller coaster of emotions and mostly worries... I strongly believe in giving my children love, care and also encourage them to experience life, the best they can... and of course, with all these comes the worry of whether or not they are safe enough, fit enough, or healthy enough...

Most moms can relate to the worry when your child starts looking pale, or starts having fever, or being more subdued or quiet then normal...A dozen or more questions will be racing through our minds....Is he/she ok? Why is he/ she so pale? etc...etc....

Seven Seas understand and identify with mothers on the challenges of parenthood, and know only too well the many worries that come along with the job – from whether your child is getting enough sleep and play time, to making sure they eat a healthy balanced diet. And making sure that your child receives sufficient nutrients can be tough. Did you know there are still many undernourished children with unhealthy dietary practices  here in Malaysia?

Seven Seas dedication to your child’s health is firmly backed by over 80 years of experience and a responsibility to bring the highest quality of nutritional supplements that best supports your child’s nutritional needs because at the core of the Seven Seas philosophy is the belief that a healthy life begins with great nutrition.

Thus, not too long ago, Seven Seas launched the Seven Seas #DontWorryMom Campaign which targets promoting better health and nutrition for kids. Because worrying less means that you stay young and active for your family longer.

A study published in 2013 on Survey of Malaysian Children, which studied the nutritional status and dietary intake of children aged between six months and 12 years, found that 4.4% of the 3,542 sample population had a deficiency of iron and Vitamin A.

In another study it was found that the groups found to have the lowest intakes for most nutrients and the highest percentages that did not meet energy or nutrient recommendations, were actually pre-schoolers (4-7 years old) and school aged children (7-10 years old) from the lower income group.

And so, as part of the campaign, Seven Seas has pledged to contribute RM1 from every unit of Seven Seas Kids products sold between 1 April to 30 June 2016, to support the #FreeCanteen programme - an ongoing initiative by Syed Azmi Alhabshi to provide free meals during recess to underprivileged kids while at the same time, educating them on the value of a good, nutritious meal and the benefits it can bring to their general health and well-being - to approximately 6,000 underprivileged school kids.

For the #DontWorryMom campaign, Seven Seas has launched a first-ever short web film, which shares the heart-warming story of Sara and her mother, the journey and worries of raising a child, and the power of unconditional love.

Through this video, Seven Seas  is showing their support for all mothers out there through their hashtag #DontWorryMom.

Nutrient deficiency is common in children as they have fads with food, are fussy eaters or have poor appetites. Their bodies tend to lose out on important nutrients due to this.
Therefore, it is very important to supplement their diet with vitamins and minerals to ensure that they grow and stay healthy.

Seven Seas has a great range of nutritional supplements to meet the needs of my family, especially my kids and I trust Seven Seas to provide my kids with everything needed for a healthy growth and development. Each product is uniquely formulated to support a child’s body, helping them grow and develop well every day.

Multi-Vitamin Syrup with Cod Liver Oil contains a combination of 8 essential vitamins and DHA to provide the nutrients to help support optimum growth and the development of a strong, healthy immune system. This is also very yummy as it taste like orange syrup and my fussy not-so little girl likes it....

This formula not only provides good bacteria to help reinforce a child’s natural immune defences but also delivers micronutrients required for healthy growth and development.

Kids Fruit Gummies come in 3 delicious fruit flavours (Blackcurrant, Strawberry and Orange) and provide essential nutrients needed for healthy growth and development.  This is something I have to control my daughter on.. else she would be eating it non stop!!!!
