Fun, laughter and lessons learnt at the Blogging 101 workshop

Over the last weekend, yours truly attended the Blogging 101 workshop organised and held by the Butterfly Project Malaysia founder, Tammy Lim. Tammy, being Tammy not only organised a marvelous workshop full of information for us bloggers but also manage to spoil us with little treats such a free ride to and from the workshop at the Canvas in Damansara Perdana...

Download the Uber App and request for your ride... or check https://www.uber.com/cities/kuala-lumpur

.. and brighten all us girls' day with flowers..... from BloomThis.co

We were all just too fascinated with the beautiful blooms that brightened on one corner of the venue... pretty Lilac Roses....

And sweet smelling Peonies..... Royal imperial flowers that signifies prosperity, romance, riches and honor.....

Yours truly cannot resist smelling the sweet scent wafting from these lovely peonies....

See all my goodies..... Thank you so much Butterfly Malaysia and sponsors.....

The venue Canvas at Damansara Perdana was a pretty interesting place with white walls we could scribble, draw and doodle on. See my blogger friend Syafiera doodling here......

Before we knew it, from all the chattering, the scribbling, doodling and photgraphy/ selfies, our workshop was in session. Our lovely emcee for the day, Tehmina Kaoosji was there to introduce all the speakers, entertainer and sponsors.

Ice from Arristo and Deliccia was there to introduce herself and her tempting spread laid out for us for our tea break, which included seafood pizza, cheese cake, brownies, cookies, hot chocolate, tea and 5 star quality premium coffee..

Anyway, the workshop started with Tammy, the founder of Butterfly Project Malaysia giving us a speech and informing us that she will be imparting some great tips on blogging soon over email to all of us who attended....

Then Aaron Aw, the funny man took the floor and sent everyone laughing and giggling...He is just that brilliant.. and of course, this little guy is not just any comedian... He is actually pursuing his PhD in Aerospace Engineering!! No kidding!!

Aaron insist that his guitar here is his Indian girlfriend "Geeta" and he just adores her G-string..... hehehe

When it was tea time, the non Muslims tucked into their Premium Coffee and other drinks and snacks... while the Muslims had a little box packed to be taken away for their "buka puasa" ....

All of us bloggers got valuable input regarding quality content from blogger Dee Leonard (deelicious) who is also a PR/Account Director with Bridges Pr and Events.

What to blog about... what to avoid and what PR companies look for in their bloggers..... were among the topics he covered...

Another speaker was the amazing Christopher Tock who told what and how to go about writing with "Kick Ass Content"

Last but not least, we got even more valuable info from beauty blogger and lawyer Arpita Kaur Bajaj in what to post, what not to post, what and how to complain and all the basic neccesities we should know about as well as copyright content and when to give credit if and when we use someone else's quotes or pictures....

The surprise was far from over when all of us left with a bespoke box or personalized flowers sponsored by BloomThis.co . Upon opening it, I found a personalized note as well as a card explaining what flowers I was receiving..in this case, which were five colourful gerberas and baby breaths that accompanied them....

Now which girl do not like receiving flowers??? I know I was delighted.... and well, if no want wants to send you flowers, you can get some sent to you for a fee by BloomThis.co , go try it out... you might just be so delightfully surprised....
