Hello everyone, thanks for dropping by my humble blogpost as usual, and well.... I was at 1 Utama yesterday checking out the Raya events and activities that has began and will be ending on 20th July... and it is very HAPPENING!!!
You really have to come over to 1 Utama here to indulge yourself and your family or friends at the 'makan village' at the LG Oval concourse area where a gorgeous "Rumah Penghulu" stands...
Seriously... I am super amazed by how fast they build this houses here... Now... can someone build me a house like this for me to live in????? Heheheh... I adore how detailed and gorgeous it is!!!
The "Rumah Penghulu" is equipped with a beautiful functioning kitchen with amazingly gorgeous appliances from Belling... It is here at the "Rumah Penghulu" where yiu ca watch live cooking demos by impressive Malaysian culinary masters like Chef Jaafar Onn, Chef Sherson Lian (12 July, 3pm), Chef Zaidah (11 July, 5pm) and host of "Diari Mangkuk Tingkat" Ili (5 July, 3pm)....be sure to try to catch one or all of them if you can in action....
The gorgeous "makan village" is truly a discovery with retro bicycles, Vespa scooters, vintage knick-knacks at every corner amidst beautiful blooming bougainvilleas which just amazingly lifelike with real grass planted around the area too!!!

Be sure to check out tradional favourites and the regular Hari Raya goodies from lemang, ketupat daun palas, ketupat, rendang, serunding and other goodies here at this Rendang Atuk booth....
Try to catch the 1 Utama Raya mascots who will be around at certain times to greet you...
'Bersalam - salaman' is something like exchanging greetings, a custom for Malaysians when they meet... and even more especially during festive seasons such as Hari Raya....
And if you are exhausted from all the shopping, take a few minutes and rest at one of the wakafs around... You can go ahead and sleep too.... if you do not mind odd looks from passer-bys....hehehe
If you are shopping for cookies, you definitely will be spoiled for choice as there are just sooo many to choose from... different packaging, different flavors, different colours, different taste and textures....for different budgets.... hehehe
Do not forget to check out the fresh and piping hot kueh bahulu which are baked in front of your eyes as well.. as everyone knows freshly baked bahulu are just simply irresistible and absolutely delicious... oh no... I am already craving some now....
The ice cream booth you will want to check out as well...........

As well as the most gorgeous ovens and kitchen equipment... from Belling.. I so wish I can own these gorgeous kitchen equipment which will soooo make your kitchen stand out and be the talk of the town...

And..........well, I was lucky to be able to watch Chef Sherson Lian in action as he showed us how to create his signature dish, "Nasi Beriyani with Ayam Percik"
And his assistant chef here was none other then fellow blogger (and lawyer) Arpita....
Oh gosh by the time they have finished the dish, it was so mouthwateringly tantalizing but I could not eat it because it was still fasting time... however, Kevin, his other assistant was kind enough to pack some away in a plastic container for me to try later after we have broke fast...
Be sure to check out the GF Centre Court over at the old wing where it's all things fashionable for those of you looking to buy new clothing for this Raya...
There are a few booths there showcasing the latest designs and styles of Raya fashion and gorgeous accessories to go along with your outfits... Mix and match and you will definitely be the object of admiration during all those open house you hold or attend....
