First up is the Hotel Clover 5 Hong Kong Street, which is situated in the heart of Chinatown. It is a 55-room business hotel that gives us a modern and contemporary feel.

The boutique space’s boxy exterior is layered over with a latticed frame and pretty motifs of clover leaves. The clover leaf will also be decorating the wall of the reception as you enter the building.

The highlight of the hotel would be the rooftop lap pool that matches the pretty views of the CBD skyline, garden murals and a wall of vertical patchwork garden that quite literally reaches for the skies.

Hotel Clover 769 North Bridge Road 's Courtyard
Kampong Glam, which is the name of the neighbourhood in which Hotel Clover 769 North Bridge Road is found has a rich history...

It was formed by the word ‘Kampong’, Malay for village, and ‘Glam’, taking after the glam tree that grows in the area; it was a prime settlement and trading hub where migrant Malays as well as the Bugis, the Javanese and Arabs settled down.

It was also the home of Sultan Hussein (Singapore's first sultan), his family and his followers.

Today, it is known for one of the most important and beautiful mosques in Singapore, Sultan Mosque, as well as a slew of fabric stores, shisha parlours, biryani eateries, ethnic Arab and Middle Eastern restaurants.

Kampong Glam has a veritable retail, dining and bar scene marked by cocktail bars like Bar Stories, multi-concept Maison Ikkoku (known for its multibrand store, café and cocktail bar), Tokyo Bikes (luxe bikes) and the like. The lovely neighbourhood combining the old and the new make for a great place to experience Hotel Clover 769 North Bridge Road and Singapore.
