Sunway Lagoon -Adventureland

Since it was already end of December and yours truly here had a pair of Sunway Lagoon tickets still un utilized, my little girl and I made a trip there a couple of days ago.

It was quite a dreary morning and for almost the whole day , it was drizzling non stop, but it did not stop us having fun.

Outside, Sunway Lagoon, the first thing that caught my eye was that they already had a Nickelodeon Store opened in anticipation for the new change in the theme park, which in case you do not know , will be a part of a Nickelodeon theme park. Soon... very, very soon we will be able to meet Sponge Bob, Patrick, Dora, Ninja Turtles and so on in Sunway Lagoon!!!

Now isn't that exciting!!! I know I am excited!!!

There was a poster near the entrance of the new Tigerland as well in the Wildlife Park and my little girl and I were excited wanting to see them, however we were disappointed when we did not get to see them due to the dismal weather and the park rangers said that the big cats are quite sensitive to the weather.

This is the main entrance. If you haven't got a ticket or to get your tickets and wristband passes, you need to go to the right side and queue for it.

Excitement in a little girl's eyes while waiting to go through the bag checks. Yes, Sunway Lagoon has bag checks and they check your bags quite throughly so do not bother hiding a few bottles of mineral water or canned drinks or snacks inside your bags. You will have to sacrifice them!! There is totally NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS allowed in here.

Once your wristband has been scanned, stop by the side to pick up a guide / map so you can know where you are going or headed to...

Once you navigate the steps down, you will come to the first place, the scream park which I had to forgo because my little princess was too cowardly or a scaredy cat and refused to even take a sneak peek inside, as badly as I wanted to...

The second thing we came across was the merry go round, on the right or immediately opposite the stairs...

My little girl was more then happy to go on a ride....

After her carousel, we headed to the Adventureland. Here yours truly was the party pooper armed with an umbrella to ward of the drizzling rain but my daughter had her swim wear on.

There are maps here you can also check out....

Since we could not go into the Scream Park, my little girl compromised and agreed to brave the unknown inside this Cleopatra attraction.....

Queen of ancient Egypt and the magnificent Nile, Cleopatra is one of the most famous female rulers in history and even the most ruthless of men bowed before this legendary and fearless leader.

Come discover, and uncover, the Myths, Mysteries and Mummies of Ancient Egypt, in the brand new immersive and interactive adventure for all at Sunway Lagoon for a limited time only!

There was a head of Anubis at the entrance...

.... and huge scorpions on the wall....

We were ushered into the dark "caverns" and stopped by to learn some facts about Cleopatra at the hall . Once we finished learning some of Cleopatra's background everyone gave a shriek as our guide jumped out from nowhere in front of us. (ok, not really no where but through the 'screens' of the projected image)

Our trip was scary, through dark corners and corridors and we were spooked by loud bangs , mummies and encountered a "high priest" in the midst of embalming a mummy. He squirted "blood" on us which made my little girl squeal in shock.

We had some ways to go through and passed all these...

And was suddenly surprised by an ancient Egyptian guard who told us succinctly that the queen summoned us into her presence. We were then ushered to her presence.

She spoke a few words to us but then I could not grasped what exactly she was saying as she spoke too fast.

We passed by this weird Alien place after exiting Cleopatra's place..

Our next 'adventure' was on a ride at the Butch Cassidy's Trail.

Weeee......... here we go.......

Once we completed two rounds of this, my daughter insisted she wanted to go on the Grand Canyon River Rapids.

My daughter went on this 2 x as well....

Note the look of exhilaration on her face as she braved the river rapids ride alone on her second ride... her first ride was with a few other people... but her second ride was all alone...

When she was done with that, we headed to our next destination......

and passed by the Scream cafe outside to the side of the Scream Park with a zombie and a "pocong" there....

Took a few pictures at the photo opportunity sites.. you can also meet Peter Pan and Tinkerbell here but somehow we missed them...

Do not forget to check out the park entertainment activities lined up...

The entrance to the water park and extreme park....

And my little girl just could not resist hugging a lion statue there before we head to our next destination.... Do not forget to follow our adventures tomorrow to find out where out next stop is....
