Sunway Lagoon :Wildlife Park

Continuing on our little adventure inside the Sunway Lagoon theme park, my little girl and I headed to the Wildlife Park to See, Touch, Learn and also interact with the animals there...The Wildlife Park has definitely grown since the last time I visited and there are more animals and even White Lions, which I did not get the chance to meet or see because of the dreary weather....

There is also a new home for the tigers, in Tigerland, a lovely area with waterfall and so on and alot of info as well on the walls with cute signages .

There is a signage as well for Wild Encounters so if you are around Sunway Lagoon and want to learn more about the animals, you can check  out the timetable here....

And naturally, for the safety of the animals as well as our own safety issues, we should read the rules and regulations and follow them at all times.

It was a little disappointing my little girl and I did not get to meet the big cats from the tigers, white lions and panthers due to the dismal weather. The whole day we were there it was drizzling non stop.

However, we got to see other animals and bird. We visited the aviary and checked out the parakeets

Aren't they so pretty.... with their pretty colours... Despite the weather, they were still enjoying themselves and grooming themselves here...

We also checked out the tree top terrace... but there wasn't much to see because the main attractions were inside their cozy dry enclosure and did not come out to the open because of the drizzle.

However we had a surprise...

check out the peacock on the tree.....

We also get to see the marmosets....which my daughter went all "Ohhh, and ahhhh... aren't they so adorable..."

Meet the white hair marmoset... ok.. ok... that is not his real name which I really cannot remember... but this one has white hair..... There is another one with black hair  and another different one but I did not put the pictures here... you probably can check out more of the pictures at my facebook page:  http://www.facebook.com/mieranadhirahdotcom

"Whatcha looking at???!!!'

My little girl in front of a small waterfall.....before we continued our little safari adventure here...

Ah.... look, a crocodile.... looking very lazy but never underestimate him....

How about some adorable porcupines all in a row.....

Oh dear... I cannot remember what this is... it is a kind of kangaroo but looks like a rabbit too....

Here are some duckies.... peeking over to check out the other duckies on the other side of the enclosure...

We  also came across this nice ssssss-snake.....isn't she  so pretty.....I love her designs and now that I am no longer so scared of pythons... (yeah- only pythons ok, I am still scared of other snakes...) wish I could touch her

How about this cute gecko, but he does not look very happy....

Peekaboo.......can you see me...

This cute gerbil is quite cute right...

Awwww... this ferret looks so furry and so adorable sleeping peacefully....

There are also some samples of the shells, skins and quills that have be shed which you can see or touch with the staff's assistance...

An assortment of pretty , colourful feathers and also birds nest and birds eggs.....

At the lake, we get to enjoy the lovely scenery along with beautiful graceful swans and carps... Meet the white swan, which I nick name Odette, after the swan princess...

And also Odile.... isn't she just so lovely... I love their gracefulness and oh gosh.. they do swim very fast!!!!

Below.... we meet a cute fella all curled up... My daughter, being her over reacting self shrieked and told me she found the smelliest animal in the world when she saw it.....

We then headed to the pet village..

Then there are some cute goats around... this year is a  "very goat" year right????

And awww.... the right time to take a picture.. just as this cutie prairie dog poses for a picture....

quaaaaccckkk.... you looking at me??

Then we meet a shy, shy meerkat....

My little girl and I went towards the petting enclosure where she got to meet some oh so adorable bunnies and feed them with 'kangkung'

And a guinea pigs enclosure, where the inhabitants were most excited and squeaking with delight when some 'kangkung' were being placed  in their enclosure... actually it was a mini frenzy!!!

Once they have eaten, and slightly settled down... they look adorable don't they?

This is the cutest little bugger ever!!!! He really made my heart melt just looking at him... and I could not resist a few photos.....

And another cute bunny wabbit....... awwwwww

My daughter takes the opportunity to pet them..

then there was this kay poh chi..... aka busy body who came to check out what we were doing with the guinea pigs...

Then when we were done with the Pet Village, my little girl took the opportunity to do some Longkang Fishing... (Longkang means drain).. it was a popular past time of mine as well as other kids back in the past when we had a great time catching tadpoles or guppies or rainbow fishes in drains, puddles and so on....

Sunway Lagoon has this for the kids and also the young at heart to try out... Just grab a pail and a net and you are good to go...

My daughter got excited and ran around the 'longkang' chasing some of those fishes and in 5 minutes, she got half a dozen of these cuties...

Once we took some photos, she then released them back to the 'longkang' to rejoin their other friends....

Bye -bye fishies.... thanks for being a sport and allowing me to catch you for a little while....

Our little safari ended after that as my daughter decided to go to a different park after this.... so follow us tomorrow to read about it ok.... Have a great day!!
