Sunway Lagoon : Waterpark / Surf Beach

After admiring all the lovely and adorable animals at the Wildlife Park, we made our way to the Water Park/ Surf Beach. I have not been to the Water Park in ages and the change there was pretty amazing. There was a Marrybrown restaurant, a Subway sandwich cafe as well...along the Zulu walk.. and hey, the ladies room was very attractive with a Zulu lady on the wall too....

I went in there to change as my little girl had her swim suit on the whole time but I had to change.

This is the entrance of  Water Park and the Surf Beach. Here we can explore the Waters of Africa that is home to one of the World’s Largest Man-Made Surf Beach; set amidst an area spanning over 13,000 square meters where you can catch perfect waves each time for great surfing! It is also home to the World’s Largest Water Ride – Vuvuzela, First Waterplexx 5D, Malaysia’s First FlowRider and many other great attractions.

My little girl here at the river... She was really excited and happy to be here...

This is the children's play area. There used to be a pirate ship here but not, a very nice play area called the  Little Zimbabwe, an interactive water playground, with mini slides and lots of steps....

Watch the huge bucket of water on the top... I caught it with my camera's burst shot... It is certainly a sight to behold... could not stop admiring it myself.. LOL

So what did you think of that??? Amazing huh...

After spending a good half hour there, our next stop was at the Vuvuzela. It is supposed to be the world's largest water ride and it was thrilling... The climb up to the top was also very high...I think some of the people there were more worried by the height....

There were a lot of people there when my little girl and I went on it and we quickly found another mother and daughter to do the ride together. The minimum people on one of these rubber raft/ tube thingie is 4 , and maximum is 6 I think.

The ride was pretty like any tube on slides ride until towards the end where there is a much steeper drop and you are dropped into the wide end of the conical end of the Vuvuzela so you will go back and forth a few times before heading to the narrower end and then out of the ride...Be prepared to get drenched in the conical area....

After the Vuvuzela ride, my little girl and I headed to the 5 D Waterplexx to check it out. I is basically like all the other 4 D rides you get on... with the exception that  you are going to get so very drenched here....

On the way we had our attention on a small attractive stall selling Rojak and Cendol... oh wow....

It is a bit cold as the Waterplexx is already airconditioned and then you get squirted , sprayed and splashed with cold water and some warm water .....

We came out of the Waterplexx half shivering... but thrilled beyond words...and headed to the Surf Beach.

There was a watermelon stall here !! So if you need a cup/ glass of refreshing watermelon juice, don't forget to check it out....

If you are here for the first time and unsure where you are, you can check out the map of the park as usual....

Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach is an amazing place  where holiday makers all around the world come for a fun filled day in the sun right in Klang Valley.  I was pretty surprise to find a Burger King outlet here too... Oh wow!!!! Lots of amazing fast food chains here....

My little girl was thrilled to feel real beach sand underneath her feet. There was a couple of kids spotted busy building sand castles as well...

You can either laze in the beach or for the thrill seekers you can enjoy surfing or body boarding, go ahead and show off your surfing skills on Malaysia’s only Surf Simulator or ‘FlowRider’.

Our last destination was at the normal wave pool where the waves were lots tamer then the one at the Surf Beach and where you can just float off on a tube to oblivion if you like.....(nahhh... just kidding)

My daughter certainly had a splashing great time here and as it was already evening, we had to leave or risk getting caught in the heavy traffic...back to Gombak..

After taking our shower and changing our clothes at the ladies room, we headed to the Sunway Lagoon shop to check out some souvenirs... you can also get any necessities you need if you did not bring them, like your sunblock, shorts, swimsuit, goggles, floats, etc, etc....

And that was the end of my visit for this time to the Sunway Lagoon... I am quite excited about the new changes coming their way too and look forward to visiting again next year.... It will be thrilling with having Dora, Sponge Bob, Patrick and so on around , I am sure...
