Being grateful....

Learning to be grateful for the little blessings that come your way is of utmost importance. Not many people know how to do that, and if they do, many others prefer to white and gripe about what they do not have or own in this world.

That is a really sad thing as as long as you are never contented with what you have or is always comparing yourself with people who have more, you will never ever know how to count the little blessings and also never learn to be happy.

It is really a material world we live in and I admit I am or at least I was guilty of chasing brand names and such once upon a time..until I learn to stop, reflect and count the little blessings that come my way... And these blessings are many.

They come in many forms, many disguise.. For example.. You open your eyes to a new day, it is a blessing, you find your love ones around, it is a blessing, you have food on the table, it is a blessing, you are healthy, it is a blessing, you have a job, it is a blessing...

Instead of comparing yourself neverendingly with people who have more... Try comparing yourself with people who have less... Then that is where you learn to be grateful. But this does not mean you should snub those who have less then you or mock them for having less... But just be thankful for what you have and also help them if you can or want to.

You never know, today you might be more fortunate then them, but tomorrow they could have more then you...

Be grateful you have a full stomach.. You are not hungry, you have food to eat, do not moan that you are not eating an eight course meal ... But compare yourself with flood victims, disaster victims, and a million other people who are in a worse situation then you.... That is how you should learn to do and how to be grateful.

If you do not know how to be thankful and appreciative, you never know how God or nature could simply take all that away... So be grateful for all you have....

Thank you God for everything in my life.. It is a road full of potholes and bumps but I have a reasonably great life with good people and great stuff... Syukur Alhamdullilah....
