Having a huge supply of kiwi in my refrigerator, I noticed a few over ripening, and since today's challenge demanded a delicious and convenient kiwifruit snack and recipe...
Coupled with the fact I had way too much to eat last night at a marvelous buffet food review...
I decided to do an Immune Booster detox....
Ward off colds with this vitamin bomb! The kiwis alone pack nearly twice your daily vitamin C--and the citrus delivers even more of the cold-busting vitamin.

- 1 whole grapefruit (peeled and cut into chunks)
- 1 whole lemon (medium, peeled and cut into chunks)
- 4 Zespri kiwifruit (peeled and cut into chunks)
2 table spoon of honey
Method: Just put all ingredients together and placed in a blender and blend all of it together. I like the fiber and all that's why I blend it like that. If you do not like the fruits fiber you can just blend the honey and kiwi and squeeze out the grapefruit and lemon juice before adding to the blender....
Grapefruit is high in antioxidants and vitamin C, grapefruit or grapefruit juice also aids the liver in flushing carcinogens (things linked to causing cancer, like stuff in cigarettes and tobacco, as well as some pre-prepared foods) and possibly pesticides out of the body.
Kiwi is a superfood and is packed with vitamins A and E which help prevent free radicals as well as certain types of cancer. Kiwis also helps flush out toxins from the colon, which improves your overall health and well being.
Lemons clean your bowels, and neutralizes free radicals that cause aging. Lemons also contain 22 anti-cancer properties.
Taaa daaaa.... now I can drink it... it is a little sour, a little bitter but made sweet with honey and power packed with goodness for my body!!!! Yummm!!!!
