Raya celebration with family members

Raya or Eid is always a time for family reunions and to quote my sister in law, the day we "become best buddies for a day... tomorrow we can be enemies again".. So it was definitely a great moment though crazy hectic with the influx of guests for my mother in law and sister in law's open house
my hubby look so handsome this year in his baju melayu, something he has not worn in a while...

Anyway I spend it cooking a chicken curry for the open house on the evening of Raya which went bad, for whatever reason unknown, even though I only put in the coconut milk early morning Raya day.

This was kind of frustrating, 5 chickens, all the ingredients, spices went down the drain or is it the rubbish bin and I felt I let the family down, but sister in law with her quick thinking saved the day by getting KFC and making a ayam masak merah out of it... pretty awesome huh

your truly with some ketupat she had to cut.....

The noon went on in a flurry and at 3pm plus, hubby and I left for a visit to his in laws, my dear step kids and well, they may be my husband's (ex) in laws, but they are my god parents as well.

Hah, many people cannot comprehend this but look at the whole picture, my husband's ex wife is quite like a sister to me, she is also god mother to my little girl. My husband's ex wife's parents are awesome people and are my god parents, I call them Mummy and Daddy, too and I love them as much as I love my mom and mother in law. My daughter adores her Mummy tok. We spend a few hours every raya there. It is a norm and a must.

And we are very happy. Heck, this year is quite an amazing year. I got duit raya for the first time from hubby and my dear step son. Thank you guys. May God give you both even more rezeki for this.

Ok, then later in the evening we went back home, changed our clothes etc and went to my mother in law's home again.

We are lucky my mother in law's home is just a few steps away/few houses away from where we stay and well.. more family pics....

We are family.....
To all out there celebrating Eid Mubarak, Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.. Maaf Zahir dan Batin....
