Recipe: Easy Fried Rice/Nasi Goreng

Want a quick meal? Simple...just make fried rice, especially if you have left over rice from the day before or lunchtime (for dinner)
Ingredients:
One big onion/ 2-3 shallots sliced
3-4 cloves of garlic chopped
A little bit of anchovies
Two sausages
3-4 birds eye chilli smashed
An egg
Cooking oil -I use Carotino oil for a more healthier dish.
Rice
Fry the anchovies till they are brown, then take it out of the pan.
Break egg into a bowl then pour egg into pan. Stir fry egg until dry.
Add onions, garlic and stir fry for a couple of minutes.
Then add in the sausages until cooked.
(You can add in vegetables if you like or chicken or prawns)
Then put the rice in. Add some dark soya sauce, and some fish sauce or cuttlefish sauce (the the Thai variety) or just a packet of fried rice mix from tumix but not too much as it can be salty.
Stir until the rice is uniform in colour. Add in the anchovies.
Serve hot with some salad/ cucumber /tomatoes.
Enjoy. It is a simple dish according to individial  palate.. So have fun experimenting with your ingredients.
